Gandeevadhari Arjuna’s OTT streaming date is locked

Varun Tej’s Gandeevadhari Arjuna released late last month was a disappointing affair for all the parties involved. The film went on to become a major disaster continuing the Mega hero’s poor run at the box-office after Ghani. Due to the box-office debacle, Gandeevadhari Arjuna, directed Praveen Sattaru is now making its way to the OTT much earlier than expected.

The film had almost negligible pre-release hype. The trailer and other promotional content absolutely failed to create a buzz in the audience. It received negligible shares in all territories and the overall worldwide share will be less than 1Cr after the opening day showcasing the level of disaster it was.

Gandeevadhari Arjuna will stream on Netflix in September 3rd week. The film also stars Nassar, Roshini Prakash, Manish Chaudhari, Abhinav Gomatam, Ravi Varma, Kalpalatha, and Baby Vedain. The movie, which is produced by Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra, has its music composed by Mickey J Meyer.

Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming action entertainer Jawan is going with a record-breaking flow as per the advance bookings. The film has already sold over 2.5 Lakhs of tickets. Until this article was written, the advance bookings of Jawan in National Chains like PVR + Inox was 2.1 Lakhs, and Cinepolis registered 45 Lakhs ticket sales. The total will be around 2.55 Lakhs approx, and one more astonishing thing is all these bookings are only for day 1.

Bollywood’s trade analysts say that Jawan’s advance booking and early morning shows in various cities are having a superb craze. While Jawan is making excellent advances in national chains, the early booking status in regular movie theaters and unique screens is also fantastic. The single screens in Delhi, UP, Rajasthan, Bihar showing extraordinary results. Due to the high demand, several exhibitors are starting their shows at 6am, even at tier-2 centers.

Jawan will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam along with Hindi. Anirudh Ravichander is composing music for the film. The film has already done a 250 crore non-theatrical business, that is including digital, satellite, and music rights. And not only this, the film has done record business theatrically in all areas.

Jawan is a Red Chillies Entertainment presentation directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. Along with SRK, it also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupati in key roles. The film will be released in theaters worldwide on September 7th in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.

Mangalavaaram bags an impressive overseas deal

Director Ajay Bhupathi, known for his debut film ‘RX100’, is currently doing ‘Mangalavaaram’. The film, billed as a true-blue action thriller with an eventful plot and 30 characters, is going to be a November release.

The creators have pocketed an interesting overseas deal. Rs 1.53 Cr is the cost of the deal clinched with Southern Star International, an overseas distribution house.

Actress Payal Rajput has powered the film, whose teaser has spawned confidence among stakeholders like distributors and exhibitors. The effect of the teaser is being felt on the commerce front.

The film’s music is from Ajaneesh Loknath (already a song titled ‘Ganagana Mogalira’ has hit the stride), known for his work in ‘Kantara’ and ‘Virupaksha’. The film also features Krishna Chaitanya, Nanditha Swetha (as a cop), Shravan Reddy, Ajay Ghosh, Azmal, Ravindra Vijay, Sri Tej, and Divya Pillai in key roles. DJ Tillu released last year went on to become a massive hit and surprised many. The movie was a career-defining hit for Siddhu Jonnalagadda and created massive anticipation for the sequel. Kushi had mixed results in Telugu states

Kushi starring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha released last week amidst great positivity and heavy anticipation. Fans were eager to catch Vijay in a romantic role after a long time and with Samantha’s presence, there was greater curiosity as to how this pair will look on screen.

Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film had a rather mixed performance in the Telugu states. In AP, the film had a decent first three days and Rs 9.5 crores as against a pre-release trade of Rs 25 crores.
