The postponement trend in Tollywood continues as two more movies delay their release dates

With the postponement of Salaar the release dates of all the other movies have changed, and it seems like the postponement trend in Tollywood continue further as movies continuously change their release dates. After Salaar’s postponement, small movies like Kiran Abbavaram’s Rules Ranjann, Sithara Entertainments’ production, Mad movie were announced to be released on September 28th.

Now rules Ranjann officially postponed to 6th October because on the September 28th, there are crazier films like Skanda , Chandramukhi 2 and Srikanth Addala’s Peddha Kapu 1 is getting released on 29th September. So it would not be the best time to release small movies in such a heavy competition.

Another small film, MAD, was also set to be released in theaters on September 28. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi is presenting this youth entertainer while Sai Soujanya is co-producing on Fortune Four Cinemas. Now this film has also changed its release date as the movie’s makers removed the release date in the new poster.

Written and directed by Rathinam Krishna, Rules Ranjan marks Kiran Abbavaram’s third film of this year after Vinaro Bhagyamo Vishnu Katha and Meter. The upcoming film stars latest crazy heroine Neha Shetty as the female lead. Amrish is the music director of the film and one of the three songs which have been released from the film, Sammohanuda, has become a viral hit.

Produced by Divyang Lavania and Murali Krishnaa Vemuri under Star Light Entertainment, Rules Ranjan also stars an ensemble cast including Vennela Kishore, Hyper Aadi, Nellore Sudarshan, Subbaraju, Ajay, Goparaju Ramana Annu Kapoor, Siddharth Sen, Atul Parchure, Vijay Patkar, Makarand Deshpande, Abhimanyu Singh and Gulshan Pandey.

The delay in the release of Salaar: Part 1 was disappointing for Prabhas’ fans as well as the entire film fraternity. People were eager to witness the collusion between Brand Baahubali and Brand KGF on the big screen. The film was widely expected to be the biggest mass entertainer for both Prabhas and Prashanth Neel. Unfortunately, the 28th September release has been postponed, and other films have been rushing to block what would have been a terrific release. There were so many dates for the possible release of this actioner and the latest news is the makers are eying the Christmas release.

Salaar team is completely in a difficult situation to lock its new release date. They cannot release in November because Salman’s Tiger 3 is releasing at the same time and the season is not good for the long run. If they want to release the film in Christmas, then they will have to face a massive opponent, Shah Rukh Khan because his next film, Dunki is set to be released on the same day.

Now the makers of Salaar are hoping for the film, Dunki to be postponed as SRK’s latest film Jawan has been released just now and normally, there will be some gap maintained between the big Heroes films.

So if Dunki gets postponed then the Salaar makers will have a super date to release as Christmas-New year period is an excellent season for movies in India as well as overseas. But as of now, Dunki has stuck to release plans, and they are planning to start the promotions from October end. The Salaar team is in a dilemma to lock the release date with these things and the only thing they are hoping is for Dunki postponement.

Prabhas, for the better part of the last decade, has been busy with back-to-back shootings. While Baahubali itself was a grueling shooting experience, post the SS Rajamouli project, he has been back-to-back shooting Saaho, Radhe Shyam, Adipurush, Salar, and Project K. All these films are big-budget pan-India films, and required long schedules. With rigorous shooting schedules, Prabhas’ knee problems have aggravated.

Prabhas has been suffering from a knee injury for a long time. Because of his prior commitments, he has been continuously shooting without taking any breaks. After a long time, Prabhas is said to be taking a big break from the shootings and he will be off to Europe for treatment. He will rest for some time there and even after returning to India, he will continue to stay away from shooting for some time. Prabhas is expected to resume shooting sometime next year.

Meanwhile, all eyes are on Prabhas’ Salaar release date. The film was earlier scheduled to be released on September 28 but has now been postponed. There is huge suspense on the new release date and all eyes are on Hombale Films for the new date.

The veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam and the legendary actor Kamal Haasan will reunite after a 36-year gap on their next film. The actor-director who formerly worked together on the 1987 released cult classic film Nayakan announced their upcoming collaboration last year. The project that will mark Kamal Haasan’s 234th outing in the film industry has been tentatively named KH 234. As per the latest update, the casting of the Mani Ratnam directorial has reached its final stages and popular stars Dulquer Salmaan, Trisha Krishnan, and Jayam Ravi might join the star cast.

According to the latest reports from industry insiders, pan-Indian star Dulquer Salmaan and popular Tamil actor Jayam Ravi are in talks to play the important roles in KH 234. Although the makers have not responded to these reports yet, the rumor suggests that both actors are almost ready to be part of the film’s star cast.

The project will mark both Jayam Ravi and Dulquer Salmaan’s second collaboration with director Mani Ratnam, after the blockbuster Ponniyin Selvan franchise, and OK Kanmani, respectively. KH 234 will also mark both the actors’ first onscreen association with Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan.

The upcoming project, which is expected to be a thriller, will be written and directed by Mani Ratnam himself. AR Rahman, the Oscar Academy Award-winning musician, will compose songs and the original score for KH 234. Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, G Mahendran, and Siva Ananth will jointly produce the movie under the prestigious banners Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies. In a couple of weeks, there will be a massive update on the project that will be revealed.

Directed by Atlee, Jawan featured King Khan in a double role – an intelligence officer and a vigilante. The film was shot across Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan, and Aurangabad. As everyone knows, both Jailer and Jawan became massive blockbusters at the box office. Nelson and Atlee did not make official announcements on their next projects. The audiences are so curious about with which star these two directors are collaborating for their next films.

Also, there is a chance that they can work with the same stars of their previous films as Jawan and Jailer both the films have hinted about the possible sequel. Both films ended up with announcing the sequels in the last scene.
