Boyapati Sreenu confirms his next project with Suriya

Mass Director Boyapati Sreenu is all set to entertain the Telugu audiences with his latest film, Skanda featuring Ram Pothineni in the lead role. Now it is being reported that Boyapati will direct Tamil Star Hero Suriya in his next project. This project is said to be in discussions for a very long time and according to Kollywood latest buzz, the movie is confirmed and likely to be started in next year. This is an excellent combo in both Telugu and Tamil languages.

Boyapati Srinu is known for mass masala over the board entertainers. Suriya is known for versatile films. So it is natural that nobody will think of a movie in the combination of them. Skanda BBFC Censor Report: Strong bloody violence

It is widely known that the upcoming mass action entertainer, Skanda in the combination of Ram Pothineni and Boyapati Sreenu is going through unexpected hiccups before the release. The film was set to be released on September 15th, but at the last minute it got postponed to 28th September. Meanwhile, the latest censor report from BBFC indicates that the film has a strong bloody violence.

While the Indian Censor Board (CBFC) had given U/A rating, the BBFC [British censor board] certified the film, Skanda with ‘15’ rating, and its runtime is 167 minutes. According to the BBFC report, Skanda is the story of a young man who is a son of a respected village leader and takes on his father’s two political enemies by befriending their daughters.

Anyone who is familiar with Boyapati’s movies can guess that his movies will have excessive violence, and Skanda is also reported to have strong and bloody parts of violence. Also, the film is said to have consisting elements like drugs, threat, and horror and suicide. Though there are no visuals where the women characters get abused in the film, it is said that it will have a few male characters who are shown as the sexual abusers with undisclosed offenses.

Directed by Boyapati Sreenu and starring Ram and Sree Leela in the lead roles, Skanda also stars Srikanth, Gauthami, Saiee Manjarekar among others. SS Thaman has composed the music, while Srinivasaa Chitturi has produced this action entertainer on a massive budget under the Srinivasaa Silver Screen banner. Skanda is set to hit the screens worldwide in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages.

After having a very heated argument with Gautam, Shobha Shetty was called by bigg boss for a special task to prove her capability as a contender for the Power Astra. Bigg Boss instructed her to eat spicy chicken pieces of 45. She was also informed that she can be called as a winner only after the other three contestants who voted against her fail to beat her in the same task.

Shobha could not such spicy chicken, and she even cried, but did not give up for a while, and when finally she ended her task, bigg boss called Sandeep and asked him how many chicken pieces were left. Shobha was able to eat 27 pieces out of 45.

Meanwhile, Amardeep felt bad as Shivaji was sad because of his Power Astra was lost. He first told bigg boss that he will give back the Astra to Shivaji and after that, he went and made peace with Shivaji. Shivaji did not feel bad and said it was okay and they both shared a hug.

Gautam, Subhashree, and Prashanth who told that Shobha was unworthy, were called by bigg boss to beat her in the task. As Shobha had eaten 27 spicy chicken pieces, they had to eat more than her individually. Sandeep was not Sanchaalak for the task. Gautam was the fastest to finish the task, but because of Sandeep’s miscalculation he said that Gautam had eaten 27 pieces only. So bigg boss declared Shobha as the winner.

Gautam was not happy with Sandeep’s decision. Then bigg boss told Amardeep and Priyanka to cut their hair. Amardeep gave up and Priyanka finished the task and became the third contender for Power Astra along with Shobha and Yawar.

Kareena Kapoor’s Jaane Jaan is now streaming on OTT

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s awaited OTT debut, Jaane Jaan, has been released on Netflix. Based on the best-selling mystery novel, The Devotion of Suspect X, the film is directed by Sujoy Ghosh and also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma in key roles. From September 21st, which mean from today which also marks Kareena’s birthday, the film is made available for streaming on OTT.

The most famous novel was also the inspiration for the blockbuster Malayalam language franchise Drishyam, and Vijay Antony’s Kolaigaran (Killer in Telugu) as well.

Kahaani, the much acclaimed thriller that Sujoy is best known for, helped propel Vidya Balan to stardom, along with films like The Dirty Picture and No One Killed Jessica. Badla, which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu, was his last theatrical film in 2019. He has directed a segment in the anthology film Lust Stories 2 and made a Netflix series, Typewriter, since then.

Jawan, the latest action entertainer which came in the combination of Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan and Tamil director Atlee, has turned out to be a massive blockbuster and currently the film is having a phenomenal run at the box office. For 2 weeks, the film has collected 923Cr Gross worldwide.

Before the release itself, Jawan had carried a superb buzz because of the combination and SRK’s current form. For 2 weeks, the all India Hindi version’s net of Jawan is 461Cr, while the other languages total is at 54Cr. The total all India net stands at 525Cr and Gross will be around 623Cr. The Overseas gross is around 300Cr and the total Gross is around 923Cr and the film is well on course to collect 1000Cr.

Jawan, made as an action entertainer, is written and directed by Atlee. Shah Rukh Khan plays the dual role of Vikram Rathore and his son Azad in this story, which highlights social and political issues along with entertainment. Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi played the major roles in the film. In special cameo roles, Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt are also present.

Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, and Mukesh Chhabra have also appeared in other hey roles in the film. The first time Shah Rukh and Atlee collaborated was with Jawan.

Theaters in Telugu States struggle to cover rent expenses

The theaters in Telugu states are having a very tough time as they are struggling to cover rent expenses as well. As movies which were scheduled to be released on the last weekend had postponed, there were no notable Telugu movies released on last weekend, and only a Tamil dubbed film Mark Antony was released on September 15th.

The saddest part is even Vishal’s film is also not doing that well here and previous releases are also not running well all which resulted in the theater owners in Telugu states struggling even to get the rents and the sad part is it will continue for another week as there are no notable releases in this weekend as well.

Saptha Sagaralu Daati, a Kannada dubbed film, is the only potential release this week. It received good reviews in Kannada, but the film caters to a specific audience only. Multiplex audiences are likely to embrace this film if it manages to resonate with its target audience and gets good talk, as mentioned. The release date for this film is tomorrow, September 22nd.

Then there’s 7G Brindavan Colony that will be re-released in theaters on September 22nd. If that’s not enough, there are no Telugu films worth mentioning that are scheduled to be released this weekend. Moreover, there are three films – Skanda, Chandramukhi 2, and Peddha Kapu -1 – that are scheduled to be released next weekend. It would have been nice if one of them could have reserved this weekend slot to take advantage of the vacuum and which would have helped the theaters in generating revenue.

Tamil Hero Vishal’s latest speech about director Adhik Ravichandran at the success meet of his latest film, Mark Antony, has received a massive applause from the fans and many. The film was released on September 15th, the last Friday. Vishal stated that Mark Antony is a milestone movie in his career and his first 100Cr Movie.

Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film stars Vishal and SJ Suryah in the lead roles. ‘Mark Antony’, a time travel gangster drama starring Ritu Varma, Abhinaya and others in the major roles, has been receiving good response from the masses. At this juncture, the success of the film was held in Chennai. Vishal, SJ Suryah, Adhik Ravichandran, Nizhalgal Ravi and Vishnupriya Gandhi participated in the event.

Speaking at the function, Vishal first spoke about the death of Vijay Antony’s daughter. “I always call Vijay Antony ‘Raja’. When I was in Hyderabad, I and S J Suryah sir and Adhik Ravichandran all spoke about the loss of Vijay Antony, we were deeply saddened that ‘when we have such a heavy mind, how will he (Vijay Antony) and his family going to face it?’

God should stand by their family. Such a big loss is no ordinary thing. It will take a long time to recover from it. Not just Vijay Antony, god should give everyone in their family the power to come out of this. I will stand by Vijay Antony for the rest of my life.”

Talking about the film later, he said, “When I announced that I was doing a film with Adhik, many people asked me, ‘Why are you doing a film with him too?’. I like the content and have faith in him too. I told him he’d do it right. The same people who asked me that are the ones who called me now and said, The film is good. Adhik Ravichandran has directed the film very well.

Now there is a possibility that plenty of people will call Adhik Ravichandran and ask him to give the next dates. That’s the world of cinema. Thank you, for the people who keep us alive. As far as Adhik Ravichandran is concerned, this is his first film. His journey is about to begin now”

Vishal also said that Mark Antony is his career biggest film, a milestone and will be joining the 100Cr club and which makes it the 1st ever 100Cr film in his career.
