Bollywood Actress, Janhvi Kapoor has been hospitalised due to severe food poisoning. She was reportedly admitted at South Mumbai’s HN Reliance Hospital yesterday. Her health is learned to be stable now and under doctor’s monitoring. This is surely a bit of bad news to her fans and audiences.

Janhvi Kapoor has made herself busy recently by getting opportunities from Bollywood and South as well. Kalki 2898 AD Makes History at AMB Cinemas

Kalki 2898 AD has been an extremely profitable venture for Vyjayanthi Movies in domestic markets as well as overseas. The film has achieved one milestone after another. One of the biggest achievements of the film has been showcasing good occupancies even as we approach the film’s fourth weekend.

Now, the film has achieved another massive record. Kalki 2898 AD has recorded 1 lakh footfalls at AMB Cinemas. The movie is now the most-watched film at AMB cinemas in terms of footfalls. The gross collection is also superb and it has collected around 3.7 Cr till now. SS Rajamouli’s RRR is the highest-grossing movie at AMB with Rs 4 crore collection. RRR had missed the 1 lakh footfall mark by a small margin (99,723 tickets).

The film has now crossed $18M in the USA (₹150 Cr), becoming the second Indian film to cross the $18M mark after Baahubali 2. Both films belong to Prabhas. Kalki 2898 AD is now set for another big weekend at the Indian box office. Till now, the film has collected close to 950 Cr worldwide and is expected to approach 1000 Cr by this weekend.

Shankar is one of the most iconic and successful directors in Indian cinema. It wouldn’t be an overstatement to say that he raised the Tamil cinema market in several territories. He is also instrumental in creating a solid market for Tamil movies in Telugu and Hindi. But for the first time in his 3 decades-long career, the ace director has faced complete rejection by audiences with Indian 2.

2 Point 0 and Boys may be economic failures in some aspects but they brought audiences to theatres and posted good numbers. Boys did a pretty good job in Telugu whereas 2 Point 0 is still an industry hit for Kollywood.

Even Vikram’s I put up pretty good numbers despite of negative reviews and became one of the biggest grossers of Kollywood at that time. It’s only with Indian 2 that Shankar had to face a failure of this level.

Indian 2 has just collected 130 Cr gross in 1st week and the full run will be less than 170 Cr. This was never expected from Shankar film. The film is incurring losses in every territory and is on its way to becoming one of the biggest disasters in Kollywood history

Bharateeyudu 2 Telugu states theatrical rights are sold at 25 Cr ratio and the movie opens well with a 6 Cr share but after opening day, the film witnessed a drop on day 2 and day 3. After the weekend, the film completely crashes.

Total for the 1st week in Telugu states, the movie collected in the range of 24 Cr gross and share is around 13 Cr including GST. More than 40% loss for buyers.

Worldwide also the film completely crashes after the weekend. In Tamil Nadu, the movie collected around 45 Cr gross. In overseas, it collected around 5 million. Kerala around 6 Cr and Karnataka around 8.5 Cr. Worldwide, the film just collected 130 Cr gross in the 1st week. It’s expected to close under 170 Cr. A big disaster.

Recently, the makers have trimmed 12 minutes from the film, but there is no use. As audiences have already rejected the film, they are not showing any interest in watching it.

Game Changer post production begins

Game Changer starring Ram Charan is directed by Shankar. Shankar was also busy shooting for his Indian 2 which released recently and ended up being a disaster as well. Now Shankar seems to not taking any break due to the bad result of Indian 2. He is making himself busy on the pending works of Game Changer. Game Changer’s post production works have also begin officially now.

Shankar originally planned to release Indian 3 six months after the release of Indian 2. Game Changer’s release date or update has not been shared at any press meet by Shankar or the team members. This also angered the fans. But now Shankar feels to complete Game Changer’s post production work and release the film as soon as possible. The team is also learned to have planned to release Game Changer in December month this year.

Only a minor schedule of shoot of around one week is still pending starring some character artists. Lead Hero, Ram Charan’s part has also been completed officially. The film happens to be a crucial film for all the parties involved. Mostly, Shankar has to bounce back with Game Changer to prove himself. Indian 3 success also depends on Game Changer’s result.

Producer Addresses Sukumar and Allu Arjun Dispute

The rumours of Sukumar and Allu Arjun dispute are trending on the internet with netizens discussing various aspects of the whole issue. Pushpa 2 shoot delays and some creative differences are being cited as the reason behind these differences with various unverified reports floating around at the moment.

Mythri Movie Makers team has condemned these rumours of differences between Sukumar and Allu Arjun and confirmed that everything is going well with the closest people. The next schedule shooting will start on the 25th of July and Allu Arjun will join the shoot on the 27th.

Indian 2 trimmed, too late

Indian 2 was released comprising a length of nearly 3 hours. Many felt that this may stand as a disadvantage for the film. The trailer too indicated the same that the film was offering nothing new. But the team and the Director of the film, Shankar went ahead with the same length not caring about the reception of the trailer. The film ended up as a disaster on the opening day itself and the team started doing rectification works now. Indian 2 has been now trimmed for about 12 minutes but this is too late.

After the initial reception for the film, everyone thought the team would remove major portions in the film. But the team didn’t cut any scene but the makers now have officially announced the film was trimmed for about 12 minutes. This has proved to be late as the talk of the film was negative and they should have acted fast regarding this issue. If the film had a trimmed version from Day 2, feedback would have been better. But the audience have completely rejected the film after the weekend.

Monday performance of Indian 2 was disastrous and people are in no mood to watch the film now. There are no occupancies in the theatres and this trimmed activity may not help the film at all. There is also a third part in the Indian series and we have to see what happens with that in the future.
