Devara will be released in two parts, marking Tarak’s first two-part film

Following the current trend of sequels and two parts’ films, the makers of ‘Devara’ have chosen to make it in two parts. In a video today, Koratala Siva, the director of the film, announced that it will be distributed in two parts as the film’s canvas is getting bigger, and it needs to be made in two parts.

The movie Devara, which features NTR as the hero, is currently in production. The film’s shooting is already underway. In April 2024, the first installment of Devara will be released in theaters as announced by the makers.

Koratala said, “The film is set in the backdrop of the forgotten lands of coastal India. The canvas is too big. As we started shooting, the film got bigger and bigger. Every character in the film has its own weight, which needs to be explored and established in detail. We can’t justify it in one part. Hence, we decided to tell this story in two parts.”

Bollywood beauty Janhvi Kapoor plays the lead actress in the movie, while Saif Ali Khan plays the antagonist against NTR. Hari Krishna K and Mikkilineni Sudhakar are producing this movie under the NTR Arts and Yuva Sudha Arts banners. The film has its music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Devara Part 1 will be released on worldwide screens on 5th April 2024.

Skanda sees a significant drop on its first working day

Boyapati Sreenu and Ram Pothineni’s mass action entertainer Skanda was released on last weekend and received mixed response from the audiences. Being a mass film, Skanda had received somewhat better numbers over the weekend, but the film saw a significant drop on its first working day.

After a very ordinary holiday weekend, the movie completely crashed on the 1st working day by collecting a very negligible share. The 6th day share of the film is less than 50L, which tells that the movie is heading towards a big failure at the box office. For Breakeven the movie has to collect close to another 25Cr share yet and looking at the trend there is no possibility for this to happen, and the buyers are expected to be end up with heavy losses.

The movie’s music was composed by S Thaman. Srinivasaa Chitturi produced Skanda under the banner of Srinivasaa Silver Screen, making it the most expensive movie for Ram. The movie features Sree Leela as the female lead, and Saiee Manjrekar will play a crucial role. The movie presented by ZEE Studios South and Pavan Kumar features Santosh Detake as the cinematographer. Editing is handled by Tammiraju.

Skanda has had a Pan India release on September 28th in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages.

The production team had gradually revealed each character posters for the lead actors in the series. Today, the streaming platform officially released the trailer of this Horror Series. The premiere date of Mansion 24 is set as October 17, 2023.

The trailer begins with Varalaxmi’s father, played by Sathyaraj, being labeled a national traitor. As the daughter tries to prove her father’s innocence, she discovers that his last visit was to a mansion that was haunted. She decides to go inside and find her father, even after learning that no one who visited the place has returned. There are several jump scared and random shots of many characters shown in the trailer as she ventures into a haunted place.

The talented ensemble cast in this series includes Sathya Raj, Avika Gor, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Bindu Madhavi, Nandu, Vidyu Raman, Rajeev Kanakala, Amardeep Chowdary, Maanas, and others in important roles.

Mayukh Aditya wrote the dialogues, and Vikas Badisa scored the music for Mansion 24 while B Rajasekar and Adi Narayan are the cinematographer and editor.

Boyapati Srinu’s poor portrayal of government officials receives backlash

Boyapati Srinu’s Skanda is facing severe criticism for its screenplay and routine plot. This has been a core issue for Boyapati where apart from his collaborations with Balakrishna, not much is working out. Except for Sarrainodu, none of his recent non-Balayya movies have managed to create any impact at the box office.

Another massive criticism that the action director is facing is about how he takes the audience for granted. In the name of creative liberty and packing commercial elements, over-exaggeration is normalized. One of the main reasons for Skanda’s negative talk is the way he showcased the Chief Ministers of Telugu states and police departments were depicted. Even in Akhanda for example, Pragya Jaiswal’s IAS character was a part of some outlandish scenes.

Coming to Skanda, putting two Chief Ministers in a silly conflict was not well accepted by the audience. In addition to this, the way he showed Chief Ministers in the climax looked too unnatural.

At least now Boyapati Srinu should learn lessons and understand how to balance commercial elements and reality. While taking certain creative liberty is a part of making mass entertainers, doing so in extremes will only make the characters look silly.

Kiran Abbavaram’s ‘Rules Ranjann’ is the most notable movie among the films which are being released on October 6th. This film is being distributed in many areas by Mythri Movie Makers banner. The ‘Sammohanuda’ song became a viral hit because Neha Shetty sizzled with her glamour in the song. This film was made as a pure commercial entertainer.

Small movie “MAD” is. also getting a bit noticed with its aggressive promotions. The Producer of the film, Naga Vamsi, challenged to return the money if the audience doesn’t laugh in theaters and left everyone surprised. The trailer, which was launched by NTR, is highly entertaining. This crazy entertainer also features Director Anudeep in a unique role.

Swathi Reddy and Naveen Chandra’s ‘Month Of Madhu’ will be released on October 6th as well. It is intended for the family and class audience. The trailer showed multiple shades of Naveen’s character, and it appears to be a classy flick with good emotions.

Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari, Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo and Raviteja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao are those three films which will be released for Dasara and all the films have done record-breaking business as this Dasara festival sees 115Cr business in Telugu states.

All the three films look very promising, and they are set to open with huge numbers at the box office. Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari is a mass entertainer made in a big combination of Anil Ravipudi and Balayya. With Balakrishna being in top form with back 2 back hits, the movie did 60Cr business in Telugu states alone.

AR Rahman files 10Cr defamation case over bounced cheque allegations

AR Rahman’s recent musical concert in Chennai was the subject of controversy. The music composer made a public apology for the event organizers’ failure to meet the standards. Now an old case has been exposed, and new developments have occurred that involve the Oscar-winning composer in another controversy.

An association of surgeons filed a complaint against Rahman, claiming that he was given Rs 29 lakh for a concert but never conducted it. AR Rahman’s lawyer has responded to these accusations and demanded Rs 10 crore as compensation for defaming him.

The Association of Surgeons of India received a legal notice from AR Rahman requesting that they withdraw the complaint against him within three days. He denied all the accusations and mentioned that third parties were involved in this issue, something he was unaware of.

Rahman asked the association to offer an unconditional apology for maligning his reputation in the legal notice. Furthermore, Rahman’s counsel requested that the association pay Rs 10 crore as compensation for defaming him. If the association fails to pay the compensation, the musician will take legal and criminal action.

According to the association’s complaint against Rahman, he received a sum of Rs 29 lakh in 2018 from them.

Global star Ram Charan, who is a devoted Ayyappa follower recently concluded his Ayyappa Deeksha at the Shree Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai.

Ram Charan visited the Siddhivinayak Temple with politician Rrahul Narain Kanal in Mumbai on Tuesday. The two made an early morning visit to the temple and offered prayers to Lord Ganpati. The RRR actor will next be seen in the Telugu – Tamil film Game Changer, directed by Shankar.

With folded hands, Ram Charan greeted fans and paparazzi while wearing a black kurta pyjama. After performing the puja, the priest gave him and Rrahul a small Lord Ganesha statue, and they also wore blue stoles around their shoulders.

Sharing a few pictures and a video from inside the temple, Rrahul Narain wrote on Instagram, “Ganapati Bappa Morya Visited @siddhivinayakonline Maharaj Mandir to seek blessings of our divine force with a super kind soul and one of the greatest actors in our Indian film industry… humanitarian and pure Indian at heart @alwaysramcharan bhai (brother)… May God almighty bless us all…”

During this Deeksha period, Ram Charan pledge to follow strict rules and regulations, including wearing only a black Kurta and the Ayyappa. Ram Charan has a history of practicing Ayyappa Deeksha, having undertaken it even during ‘RRR’. This time, he observed it for birth of his newborn daughter, Klin Kaara.

In 6 days, the film has collected 20Cr gross in Kerala and worldwide the gross is 42Cr. The film is expected to maintain the same momentum for at least another 2 weeks and to put a solid number in full run.

Since the very first day of release, Kannur Squad has received overwhelmingly positive reviews. Even in adverse weather conditions in Kerala, audiences are still coming to theaters thanks to the film’s strong word-of-mouth publicity.
