Akshay Kumar’s blockbuster film OMG 2 is now streaming on OTT

After a successful run in its theatrical release, Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi’s Oh My God 2 is now streaming on Netflix’s platform. The film, which was directed by Amit Rai, features Yami Gautam as an opposing lawyer against Kanti Sharan Mudgal (Pankaj Tripathi), a Lord Shiva devotee who is fighting a legal battle against the Indian education system and requests court changes regarding sex education in schools.

The movie began streaming on Netflix’s OTT platform on October 7th, which means it started streaming this morning. The censor team has made many cuts to the film, which has caused a lot of controversy about OMG 2. Despite facing Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 storm, the movie still managed to become a blockbuster at the box office.

The director of the film, Amit Rai, announced that the uncut version will be released on OTT after the theatrical release, which has made the audience most excited about the OTT release.

The courtroom drama OMG 2 is a sequel to the 2012 hit Oh My God, starring Paresh Rawal, Kumar, and Mithun Chakraborty in pivotal roles. In the first part, Akshay Kumar appeared as Lord Krishna, and in the sequel, he played Lord Shiva. Global Star Ram Charan is currently working on the film, Game Changer, which is being directed by Shankar. Dil Raju is producing the film with a massive budget. There are reports that the release date of the film has been postponed, and it is expected to be released in 2025. Meanwhile, the latest news is that finally the new shooting schedule for Ram Charan and Shankar’s Game changer will be beginning soon.

The movie has been on the sets for the past two years and still a lot of shoot part is pending. The shooting got delayed for multiple reasons and recently a schedule was planned in September, but it was cancelled at the last minute. The fans are not at all happy with the movie’s proceedings. Finally, the new schedule is said to be beginning on this Monday and Ram Charan will join this schedule, but still, there is no confirmation on the movie’s release date plans from the team.

The Game Changer movie should have been released by now. But Director Shankar got stuck with the shooting of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2. Because of this, Game Changer, which was supposed to be released in this year now reportedly postponed to next year. There is a buzz on social media that the film will be released for Sankranthi 2025.

For an extended period of time, the shoot of Game Changer has been postponed too many times. The dates of several important cast members are still scattered today. Here’s some great news for NTR fans. It has been was announced that Adhurs, starring NTR Jr, Nayanthara and Sheela, in the pivotal roles, along with Mahesh Manjrekar, Ashish Vidyarthi, Brahmanandam, Sayaji Shinde, Nassar and Tanikella Bharani playing the supporting roles, would be re-released.

The film will be re-released on 19th November and a release teaser will be released soon on 18th October. Adhurs is a landmark film in NTR’s career as it showcased his untapped comedy potential. NTR and Brahmanandam’s comedy is still considered one of the finest ever.

Adhurs was directed by VV Vinayak, who earlier directed NTR in Aadi and Samba. While Aadi was a massive blockbuster, Samba failed to recreate the magic. Adhurs was the duo’s third collaboration and it was a massive hit and box-office success majorly due to its comedy.

NTR is currently busy with the big-budget Pan India movie “Devara” with director Koratala Siva. Devara will release on April 5th, 2024 and Adhurs re-release is a great opportunity for Tarak fans to catch their star on screen soon.

Boyapati Srinu usually stays away from controversies and is mainly known for his out-and-out commercial films rather than what he does beyond cinemas. However, he has a record of being at loggerheads with his technicians, and the same has been repeated with SS Thaman as well.

During a recent interview, Boyapati Srinu stated that the music director should also be aware of using specific instrumentation as not all sound systems are equipped to handle certain sounds. The fans of Prabhas have been excited since the new release date announcement came from the Salaar team and are waiting for more updates. The makers of Salaar, a pan-Indian film, have recently announced that it will be released on December 22nd, and it will have a clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki. The film’s business in Telugu states is expected to be closed around 170 Crores.

The rights for Nizam have been already closed for 65Cr and Ceeded rights are said to be sold at 27Cr. In Andhra, the makers are said to have quoted at 80Cr ratio and the distributors are already offering close to the maker’s price and will close the deals with makers quoted prices only. The Total Telugu states business of Salaar will be in the range of 170Cr, which is an extraordinary business.

As per the original plan, Salaar film was supposed to be released on September 28th, but there was a delay in post-production. Prashant Neel felt that the CG work was not impressive, and he desired to reshoot a few scenes with some changes. The shoot is currently taking place, while the post-production work is also happening simultaneously. Prashant Neel is a director who does not want to release the film until he is completely satisfied with the output.
