RRR directed by SS Rajamouli became a huge hit after its release. The film starred Tollywood actors, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles set in the Pre-Independence era of India. The film was riding very high with the popularity of SS Rajamouli got with his Blockbuster Baahubali Series. Likewise, the film did extraordinarily well throughout India and surprisingly worldwide via Netflix as well. Now, Rajamouli and Netflix are thanking each other mutually in the form of a documentary titled, Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli.
As said, this documentary gives details about the working style and achievements of Rajamouli. It also featured Prabhas, Ram Charan, Jr. NTR and Music Director, MM Keeravaani telling about their working experience with Rajamouli. What felt surprising was the involvement of Hollywood Director, James Cameroon in the documentary. He too praised Rajamouli while speaking. This comes in line with Cameroon’s interaction with Rajamouli during the Oscars presentation ceremony. RRR then went on to win an Oscar Award for its song, Naatu Naatu.
One can observe that this is a mutual resiprocation of respect from both Rajamouli and Netflix. Rajamouli knows that RRR became a worldwide phenomenon only due to Netflix and Netflix too projected RRR and had many views across many countries. The documentary will release on August 2nd on Netflix.
