Lokesh Kanagaraj responds to the mixed reviews of Leo. The young and talented director was away from the media and limelight since the release of the film. Recently, he spoke to a media person and responded to the mixed reviews of Leo.

Vijay’s Leo, which was released on October 19th was opened to mixed response, but it is going very well about its box office. However, some audiences and fans did not like the forced LCU connection and the plethora of action scenes in the second half.

Especially the flashback portion of the film was criticized and many felt that it was not in the range of the previous works of the Vikram director. As Lokesh Kanagaraj responds to the mixed reviews of Leo, he said he was happy that the film is receiving well. Lokesh stated he was out of the network coverage area, and will wait for 4,5 days more and then see what the audiences are saying about the film.

As per the remarks of Lokesh, he will analyze those comments and will take them before going to the next film. Lokesh also informed that his next film with Superstar Rajinikanth, Thalaivar 171, will kick off from March/April 2024.

Prabhas’ Salaar Nizam rights sold for a sensational price

Prabhas’ much-awaited action thriller Salaar has been making news right from its announcement. The combination of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel is heightening the expectations by day. According to the latest reports, OTT giant Amazon Prime Video has offered a fancy sum to Hombale Films for Salaar’s digital rights.

Theatrical rights of Salaar are one of the most sought-after ones in Tollywood and as expected, the buyers are lining up for it. Mythri Movie Makers have bought the Nizam rights for 65Cr NRA and an agreement has been signed. In fact, Mythri, who have recently entered Nizam distribution had acquired Prabhas’ earlier film- Adipurush. Mythri is planning a huge release for the film starting midnight shows from 12am only provided they receive the the permissions.

Salaar will hit the screens worldwide on 22nd December. The movie takes place in a Mafia-dominated world of organized crime. Prabhas, as Salaar is a man on a mission to fulfill a promise made to his dying friend. As expected the movie will be high on action and the recent reports suggest that some of the fights in the movie are shot on a scale never even imagined in Indian cinema. 

Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar also stars Shruti Haasan, Jagapathy Babu, and Prithviraj Sukumaran among others. The film has been bankrolled by Hombale Films while Ravi Basrur returns yet again to compose music for another Hombale-Neel combo after the KGF series.

His current film Hi Nanna is a class film, and recently, he signed next with Vivek Athreya and a movie with Don [Tamil] director Cibi Chakravarthi is also said to be in talks. If we observe, all these three 3 films solely depend on content and Nani’s brand. Looking at these films, one cannot help but wonder why Nani is taking continuous big risks.

If a mass film has an average content still it can do good numbers at the box office, and it will generate great business also, but for class films everything has to work, from songs, Promos to the film’s content. The class movies must get massive talk, and all the three upcoming films of Nani are being made by directors who do not have a big brand in audiences.

So the business and collections of all the films solely depends on Nani and content. We should wait and see what result would Nani bring with his next films by taking continuous big risks.

Meanwhile, it was informed earlier today that SJ Suryah, a versatile actor who recently appeared in Mark Antony, will be the antagonist in Nani’s upcoming movie, tentatively titled Nani 31. The film will be directed by Vivek Athreya and the production house has confirmed the presence of SJ Suryah in a pivotal role. After Ante Sundaraniki, the director has collaborated with Nani for the second time.
