Prabhas’ Salaar Nizam rights sold for a sensational price

Prabhas’ much-awaited action thriller Salaar has been making news right from its announcement. The combination of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel is heightening the expectations by day. According to the latest reports, OTT giant Amazon Prime Video has offered a fancy sum to Hombale Films for Salaar’s digital rights.

Theatrical rights of Salaar are one of the most sought-after ones in Tollywood and as expected, the buyers are lining up for it. Mythri Movie Makers have bought the Nizam rights for 65Cr NRA and an agreement has been signed. In fact, Mythri, who have recently entered Nizam distribution had acquired Prabhas’ earlier film- Adipurush. Mythri is planning a huge release for the film starting midnight shows from 12am only provided they receive the the permissions.

Salaar will hit the screens worldwide on 22nd December. The movie takes place in a Mafia-dominated world of organized crime. Prabhas, as Salaar is a man on a mission to fulfill a promise made to his dying friend. As expected the movie will be high on action and the recent reports suggest that some of the fights in the movie are shot on a scale never even imagined in Indian cinema.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar also stars Shruti Haasan, Jagapathy Babu, and Prithviraj Sukumaran among others. The film has been bankrolled by Hombale Films while Ravi Basrur returns yet again to compose music for another Hombale-Neel combo after the KGF series.
