Dil Raju under immense pressure for Game Changer

Producer Dil Raju is under immense pressure for Game Changer, his upcoming big film. It is widely known that the film is made in a crazy combination of Shankar and Ram Charan. If we observe Shankar’s movies, they have always been made with massive budgets.

So Dil Raju devised a massive idea and collaborated with ZEE Studios for the film to recover the budget. The Zee studios reportedly signed a deal for all non-theatrical, satellite, and digital rights for all languages for around 250Cr. Also, they have given some significant amounts as advance for Dil Raju. Now Dil Raju is under immense pressure because of Game Changer’s delayed filming.

With the amount given by ZEE Studios along with his own amount and the advances given by the distributors, the Bommarillu Producer thought that the movie’s budget could easily be handled and he could get profits. The plan was to release the film in 2023, and now the 2023 year is getting over, and the film will not be released this year.

Because of Indian 2 and Indian 3 films set to be released next year, there is no possibility for Game Changer to be released in 2024. The movie is likely to be released in 2025, and Dil Raju needs to handle ZEE studios as the committed dates are going beyond the limit.

He can not get any advances from distributors because the release date is far away. On the other hand, the budget keeps increasing with reshoots, and Shankar always goes beyond the limits of the budgets of his films. Reportedly, there is a lot of work pending for the film.

The first schedule of Game Changer is in 2021, and it’s more than two years. Dil Raju needs to wait for more than one year from here to release the film. This is a difficult situation for any producer as massive amounts are involved, and when the release date is getting delayed, the budget will surely increase. We have to wait and see how Dil Raju will manage this pressure and whether he will be able to come up with a profit equation or not.

NBK109 – Bloody mass entertainer shoot begins

NBK109, the Bloody mass entertainer shoot begins. Nandamuri Balakrishna was recently seen in Anil Ravipudi’s directorial Bhagavanth Kesari and scored a success. Bobby Kolli, who scored a big hit with his previous film  Waltair Veerayya, is the director of the actor’s upcoming project, NBK 109. The film was announced long back, and today, its official shoot has begun.  The fans of Balayya are delighted as the NBK109 – Bloody mass entertainer shoot begins.

A striking poster featuring an axe decorated with sunglasses and a locket has been unveiled by the makers to announce that the regular shooting for NBK 109 has begun.

The film is said to have a 1980s backdrop and will be made as a high-octane mass entertainer. The unit plans to complete the shoot before April 2024 and release the film in May 2024. 

Shortly, the cast and crew details of the film will be revealed. For music composer, the unit is looking for Anirudh as the first option, and if not him the second option is none other than Devi Sri Prasad. The film is being produced by Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments and Sai Soujanya of Fortune Four Cinema.

Jailer has a huge lead over Leo in official ticket bookings. The Kollywood folks know the competition between Superstar Rajinikanth and Thalapathy Vijay. Though both the stars respect each other at a personal level, the fandoms of these stars are in constant quarrels over the discussion of who is the biggest star in both of them. Vijay’s latest film, Leo, has become a massive blockbuster, but Jailer has a huge lead over Leo in official ticket bookings.It is widely known that Bookmyshow is the number one ticket booking portal in India, as most of the ticket bookings happen on this portal only.  Recently, the BookMyShow platform started to show the stats of the number of tickets sold for each film daily.

The fans and audiences started comparing the films with these stats as they are the official stats by the BMS portal. The comparison started before the release of Leo with Jailer. After the advance bookings were opened, Leo took the lead over Jailer as it had sold around 2.5M + tickets, which includes pre-advance bookings +  booking for day one, whereas Leo sold 3.1M + tickets for the same.

But after the opening day, Leo was never able to beat Jailer in advance bookings till now.  From day 2 – day 20, Jailer has a lead over Leo. For 20 days, Leo has sold around 7.5 M+ + tickets on Bookmyshow, whereas Jailer sold 9M+ tickets, representing a huge 1.5 million tickets lead over Leo.

Yesterday, the Australian Cricketer Glenn Maxwell’s remarkable performance against Afghanistan received tremendous applause from cricket stars, and other noted personalities. He hit a double century and guided Australia to a stunning victory with his destructive style of play. His innings have been acclaimed as one of the finest in world cricket history.

On social media, director Rajamouli, the most prominent director of the Indian film industry, commented on Maxwell’s performance. He tweeted “Mad Max,” praising Maxwell’s outstanding performance and said it was one of the best innings he had ever seen. Rajamouli, who took a small break after “RRR,” is working on a new project with actor Mahesh Babu. The film is supposed to be an exciting action drama set in a forest, with the filmmaker striving for international production standards.

Pre-production work is ongoing, and the film is expected to begin shooting next summer.

Till now, there was just buzz but the makers did not announce anything officially. But now, this is official. Producer of Indian 2, Udhayanidhi Stalin, has already revealed that director Shankar has a significant amount of unused footage and that there is a thought about ‘Indian 3’, but nothing is fixed yet. “The filmmakers have told me that they have a lot of footage
shot for the film. Kamal sir and Shankar sir are very happy,” said Udhayanidhi a few months ago.

As per reports that surfaced a few months ago, there are around 6 hours of total shooting footage, and still few scenes are pending. The unit is now planning to release it in 2 parts which means Indian 3 is definitely on the cards.

Jawan storms Netflix with mind-blowing stats. Shah Rukh Khan’s latest all time blockbuster had started its OTT journey with a mixed response, but it looks like that phase was limited to a small-time only. The film debuted on Netflix on 2nd November and [2nd November – 5th November] the Hindi extended version of Jawan was listed in the Top 10 list of 18 countries. The film, in all its versions, was trended in the top 5 on Netflix in India for the last five days. The film has made it into the top 10 in various countries outside of India, as said above.

As per views, the 5.2M number is the highest for a Bollywood film on OTT in the 1st week. The Telugu and Tamil versions have also trended in a massive way. Jawan’s Tamil version listed in the top five list and trended in 11 Countries. Moreover, the Telugu version was able to make it to the Top 10 list and trended in one country [India].

Jawan, a mass action entertainer film directed by Atlee, presents a social message about corruption, negligence in public administration, and a strong emphasis on patriotism and social responsibility. The film became an all-time blockbuster in its theatrical release, and now Jawan storms Netflix with mind-blowing stats.

Shah Rukh Khan played Vikram Rathore and his son Azad in this story, encompassing social, political issues and entertainment. Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara played the other significant roles in the film. Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt play memorable cameo roles as well.

Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, and Mukesh Chhabra have also appeared in other prominent roles in the film. It’s still unclear why some section of the media always negatively portrays heroes’ remunerations. If we compare with other industries such as Hindi or Tamil, top Telugu Heros are taking quite reasonable remunerations. Excluding Pawan Kalyan, and all other star Heros are charging around 1/3 or even less as remuneration on the movie’s business or budgets.

For the last few years, Pawan Kalyan is focused on films of a smaller scale, but his remuneration is still high. Despite this disparity, this strategy of the Powerstar is working pretty well for producers too. Compared to this, top Kollywood stars are charging around or more than 50% remuneration. Even Dil Raju paid half of the budget to Vijay’s remuneration for Varasudu. This is the highest remuneration paid by Dil Raju till date. He never pays that huge remuneration to Telugu heroes and this includes Ram Charan’s for Game changer which has the potential to do 400Cr business.

Recently Allu Aravind made a statement that Heroes’ remunerations are not a reason for budget increases. Some sections of the media started writing negatively about the remuneration. In fact, there is nothing wrong with what Allu Arjun said. Tollywood star Heroes are even returning some percentage of money to producers in case of losses.

The Dunki team initially planned for December 22nd, but Salaar was announced to be released on the same day, and Bollywood was buzzing about the Dunki team’s plan to move to December 21st for a solo release day. The makers of Dunki seemed to be in a dilemma about the release date as they had removed the release date from the promotional content.

The teaser for the film, which was released on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday, had no release date specified. Neither the new posters nor the teaser have confirmed the release date yet, and it was only mentioned as a Christmas release. But as said above, Dunki will be released on December 21St December.
