Dunki faces a release date dilemma due to Salaar. It is widely known that the Bollywood Badhshah SRK and Rebel Star Prabhas are all set to compete at the box office this December. Both the films will be released during the Christmas weekend, and owing to the repercussions of the competition, Dunki faces a release date dilemma due to Salaar.
At first, the unit of Dunki had been planned for 22nd December, but Salaar was announced to be released on the same date, and Bollywood was abuzz that the Dunki team planned to move to 21st December to get a solo release day. However, the makers have not confirmed anything on this, and they have removed the release date from promotional content.
The film’s teaser, which was released on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday, did not have any release date, and even the new posters did not confirm the date, and it was just mentioned as a Christmas release.
The team thinks that if they come on the 21st, even Salaar might arrive on the same day, and again, the situation will become the same. They cannot move to an earlier day because no film can be released on Wednesday without a holiday, so there is currently a dilemma for SRK, and unit lock the release date.
