Sankranthi – 2024 witnessing a 300Cr business

Sankranthi – 2024 season is witnessing a 300Cr business. With 2024 fast approaching, the Telugu film industry is preparing for a huge release festival that will open gates for the highly profitable Sankranthi season in the second week of January. Six Telugu films have been announced to be targeting the season without any misses, and because of this, Sankranthi – 2024 season is witnessing a 300Cr business.

As said above, there are total 6 straight films, Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, Venkatesh’s Saindhav, Teja Sajja’s Hanuman, Ravi Teja’s Eagle, Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga, and Vijay Deverakonda’s Family Star are set to be released.

Also, 3 dubbed films, Siva Karthikeyan’s Ayalaan, Rajinikanth’s Lal Salaam, and Dhanush’s Captain Miller have also announced for Sankranthi release. The Dubbed films will not be able to do a great business as there are multiple straight films. Even though there as a Rajinikanth’s film, no business is expected for it in Telugu states because it does not have a full-fledged character, and he will be seen in a cameo role only.

Coming to the straight films, Mahesh Babu and Trivikram’s Guntur Kaaram’s worldwide theatrical business is expected to do in the range of 150Cr. Venkatesh’s Saindhav and Teja Sajja’s Hanuman are expected to do 25Cr range business.

Eagle and Naa Saami Ranga are expected to do 20Cr range business, while Vijay Deverakonda’s Family star is expected to do 40Cr range business worldwide.

So if we put all these films together, the Telugu version’s business will be around 280Cr, and including dubbed films and other publicity costs, the total Sankranthi business is coming at the range of 300Cr.

As of now, no team is ready to postpone the release, and all the films have started the promotional content and getting the films’ ready for Sankranthi. If all movies come as per plan, then Sankranthi season will witness a 300Cr business. We must wait and see how this Sankranthi competing turns at the end.

NTR’s Devara is aiming at a dreamy release date for any hero. It is widely known that the upcoming Pan Indian film in the combination of NTR and Koratala Siva will be getting released on 5th April 2024. With the holidays consisting in that week and other heroes films’ schedule, Devara will likely get a dreamy release date for any hero.

April 5th is a blockbuster date with Ugadi, Ramzan, Sri Rama Navami festivals in the first two weeks and all the festivals are falling on weekdays. The film will be most probably the first big film in the Summer and the season is considered as the best one for long run of movies in theaters.

Despite all the above-mentioned big festivals being present, getting a solo release date in a big season like Summer is very rare and Devara gets that advantage as there is no chance for any other star hero’s film set to be released at that time.

Pawan Kalyan’s OG was expected to come out during the same period until recent days, but now it seems impossible as Pawan is not allocating dates for his films’ shooting. Besides that, Chiranjeevi and Kalyan Krishna’s film was also planned for summer release, but the film has been canceled.

So there is no chance for any big star to release a film in competition with Devara. It is certain that in the April month there is no chance for any other biggie to be released.

There will be no films from big stars like Mahesh Babu, Prabhas , Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun,Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi, and Balakrishna in April 2024. Even there is no chance for even young heroes films getting released at that time as there will be no releases from heroes like Vijay Deverakonda, Nani, Naga Chaitanya, in April month.

So NTR will have a blockbuster and a dreamy release date for any hero, and if the word of mouth for the film comes positive, then each and every record at the box office will be in danger zone.

Tiger 3 falls far short of a 100Cr opening. It is widely known that Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan’s latest film, Tiger 3, has been released today amidst massive expectations on its content and box office performance. The film has received a decent response and sound collections. However, Tiger 3 falls short of a 100Cr opening on day 1.

It is widely known that Shah Rukh Khan scored back-to-back two 100Cr+ openers with his films Pathaan and Jawan. The trade expected Salman to cut a 100Cr+ opening with Tiger 3 as it has a lot of advantages of being a part of the Spy Series, getting released on a Sunday and Overseas release with Saturday premiers. 

But the film misses the 100Cr opening by inches. The expectations are that India’s net on day one is 40Cr, and the Overseas opening is estimated at 5.5 million +, including premiers.  So, the movie will have an opening of 95Cr Gross range worldwide and misses 100Cr by a small margin. We must wait and see how the film will trend at the box office starting tomorrow.

Tiger 3 is the third film of the Tiger franchise. Yash Raj Films backed it. Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan and Hrithik as Kabir from WAR will make special appearances in the film. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The movie is said to have stunning action sequences; reportedly, Tiger 3 is the most significant action film in the YRF Spy Series.

The film Tiger 3 sees Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reunite as agents Tiger and Zoya. The trailer of Tiger 3 also shows the personal struggle of Salman’s character. Besides saving the nation, Tiger also has a new nemesis named Emraan Hashmi, who is the film’s primary antagonist.

Mangalavaaram film has done excellent worldwide pre-business. You can scroll down to know the breakeven details of this rustic thriller. RX 100 Combo, the director Ajay Bhupathi and Payal Rajput have teamed up again for the upcoming film Mangalavaaram. The movie has achieved excellent pre-business, and Mangalavaaram needs to collect over 13Cr share worldwide to achieve the breakeven.

Even medium-budget films are failing to get reasonable theatrical business offers. But the promotional content and RX100 brand have worked big for Mangalavaaram film, and it does excellent pre-business.

The Ceeded area’s business ratio for the film is around 1.8 Cr. Andhra [6 Territories] business has been done for 4.7Cr, while Nizam is around 3.5 Cr. The Total Telugu states pre-business is valued at 10Cr. 

The Overseas and the rest of India areas’ rights have been valued at around 2.25Cr. So it makes the total pre-release business up to 12.25 Cr, which means the film should collect 13Cr+ share for breakeven, which is a big number.

Mangalavaaram’s Trailer received a thunderous response. Swathi Reddy Gunupati and Suresh Varma of Mudhra Media Works and Bhupathi’s A Creative Works have produced this November 17th release.

Raja: The Great Sequel in the works? This new rumor/report is doing rounds in the industry circles. Nowadays, the sequel trend has gotten up in all industries. That is why they have sequels, from big-budget films to small films. Following the same movement, Ravi Teja and Anil Ravipudi’s action entertainer Raja The Great’s Sequel is reportedly in the works.

Raja the Great (2017) was a blockbuster at the box office. Anil Ravipudi and the team were able to deliver a commercial blockbuster with the lead hero of the film playing a blind man, and there was a buzz at the release time that a sequel was being planned for the movie, but nothing was confirmed officially.

The inside reports strongly suggest that the combination of  Anil Ravipudi – Ravi Teja – and Dil Raju is set to be repeated. Mostly, this will be the next film of Anil Ravipudi, and the buzz has already started in the industry and people that Raja The Great’s Sequel might be planning.

As said above, the sequel films have been working big recently. We must wait and see whether Anil Ravipudi has a fresh script or plans for Raja The Great film’s sequel with Raviteja. It is widely known that Ravi Teja recently appeared before the audiences with his first ever Pan Indian film, Tiger Nageswara Rao.

Tiger Nageswara Rao was based on actual life incidents and was released in theaters amidst massive hype. However, though the film had an interesting concept, Tiger Nageswara Rao failed at the box office because of runtime and release date issues.

Star Director Atlee had previously confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay showed their interest in working together in a multistarrer and promised they would agree if the subject came out very well. Everyone thought this was just a namesake statement from the Jawan filmmaker, but it is being reported that he is working on it, and Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay multistarrer is confirmed to be in the works.

As said above, before Jawan Atlee’s release, this sensational collaboration of SRK and Thalapathy Vijay was mentioned. Reportedly, he is working on the double hero subject, which is in the works. We have to wait and see how it goes further.

NTR has been officially confirmed as the villain in War 2. After starring in a global blockbuster like RRR, it is widely known that NTR had said okay to Star in War 2, the upcoming film in the YRF Spy Universe. Till now, there were many reports and rumors about the character of NTR in the movie, but with the release of Tiger 3, NTR officially confirmed as the villain in War 2.

Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 was released worldwide today, and in the post-credits’ scene of the film, YRF set a lead for War 2 with a cameo of Hrithik Roshan, and the scene indirectly hints about NTR’s intro in the Spy Series.

The voice of Ashutosh Rana, who plays one of the crucial characters in the Spy Universe, does not mention NTR’s name but gives a terrific intro about his Character.

The dialogues discuss the Indian Country having an enemy and that only Kabir (Hrithik) can take up the job and face him. The description of NTR’s character is described with massive hype.

The character’s intro is given as a dangerous and evil person who is beyond the imagination of being cruel. A man without a name and face lives in a dark world. If Kabir has to face him, he will have to cross all the lines and barriers of emotions, and he will regret himself. After all, if he can be alive ( Kabir), he will have to fight with a more dangerous danger than death.

In this Spy series, the fans and audiences thought NTR would also portray the lead hero characters like Salman, Hrithik, and Shah Rukh Khan. But this intro of his character in Tiger 3 hints that he will play the villain role. We must see how the YRF team will show him in War 2.
