0

Ajay Bhupathi’s Mangalavaaram was released amidst positive reviews and had a decent start at the box office on its opening day. In order to perform well in terms of theatrical business Managalavaaram needed to collect more on day 2 than day 1. Unfortunately for the makers, this has not happened.

The movie maintained 80% collections of day 1 on its second day. On day 2, the film did not manage to register great occupancies for noon, matinees, and evening shows. Surprisingly, 2nd shows have done great for the film. Even on the opening day, something similar happened with the excellent second shows and other shows registering ordinary returns.

On day 2, Mangalavaaram has collected around 1.8 Cr share worldwide which takes the total 2 days worldwide share in the range of 4Cr and worldwide gross in the range of 8Cr. Total theatricals are valued at 13Cr and The film needs a bigger sunday. However, with the World Cup final scheduled on the same day, the collections will definitely be impacted.

Mangalavaaram features Payal Rajput in the lead role, and it was released on the big screens this Friday. The film’s cast also includes Ajmal Amir, Nandita Swetha, Sritej, Ajay Ghosh, and Shravan Reddy as vital characters. Ajay Bhupathi on A Creative Works and Swathi Reddy Gunupati on Mudhra Media Works collaborated to produce this rustic thriller.

Kannada Dubbed Sapta Sagaralu Dhaati Side B, all films have been affected by the India vs Australia Final. Even the recent semi-final match between India and New Zealand affected the theatres’ occupancy on November 15th.

Nani targets and directs satires on YSRCP politicians

0

Natural Star Nani is someone who never shies away from speaking his mind. At a time when most of the industry heroes maintained a diplomatic silence on ticket price issues impacting Tollywood, Nani stood up and voiced his displeasure. His film Shyam Singha Roy was among many other Tollywood films that suffered due to the government’s interference in pricing.

And now during Hi Nanna special promotional video, he has once again made a bold statement against the ruling YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh. In the video, Nani is playing a politician asking for public support. In the video, he said that if he comes to power, he will ensure there is good revenue for theatres and even kirana shops around it.”

This is a direct reference to his statement from last year when he said that theatres also help in the development of kirana shops around and limiting their business scope was not a good movie. Many YSRCP leaders attacked Nani for speaking against the government last year and now Nani has hit back at them with this satirical dialogue.

Last year, during a press interaction, Nani openly said that Tollywood lacks unity to fight on issues like this.

“Instead of raising their concerns about this issue during Vakeel Saab release, everyone stayed calm. Most were not bothered as their movie was not up for release,” pointed out Nani.”

“I would like to be proven wrong but I feel Tollywood lacks unity,” he said back then on the ticket pricing issue.
