Sankaranthi 2024 is going to be an amazing one for the film lovers. Guntur Kaaram, Hanuman, Saindhav, and Eagle are four films that are confirmed to be released for Sankranthi. Vijay Devarakonda’s film has been postponed from the Sankranthi race and Tamil dubbed films Captain Miller, Lal Salaam, and Aylaan will also hit the screens for Sankranthi and these films may get a good number of screens.

These four films Guntura Kaaram, Hanuman, Saindhav, and Eagle will hold the maximum number of theatres as their movies have solid distributors. The industry is expecting Naa Saami Ranga is likely to be postponed from Sankranthi as the film will have very less theatres. On the other hand, Nagarjuna has directed his team to not miss the Sankranthi season.

Naa Saami Ranga has almost completed the shooting part also. Nagarjuna believes that only the Sankranthi festival can give them good numbers. Even if theatre numbers are less, he doesn’t want to postpone the film release only Sankranthi. Looks like Nagarjuna is trusting Sankranthi season more than his stardom for now as his recent films did not work at the box office. Bangarraju made some good numbers in his last 5 years’ releases and that was also released for Sankranthi.

Not only that, but it also won the Best Telugu Film Award at the 69th National Film Awards. 

After this film, Krithi Shetty’s career skyrocketed with multiple offers. But it was not Krithi Shetty who got the opportunity to act in the movie. The chance went to Shivani Rajasekhar, the eldest daughter of Jeevitha and Rajasekhar.

It’s been a long time since Shivani Rajasekhar started her career as a heroine. But she failed to achieve the desired level of stardom. However, in a surprising turn of events, Shivani Rajasekhar reveals reasons for rejecting the Uppena film. 

In a recent interview, Shivani said she was the first to receive the offer to act in Uppena, but she turned it down. When asked why Uppena was rejected, Shivani Rajasekhar revealed that the story draft had bold and intimate scenes in the script, and she was not sure she could do them comfortably. 

However, as fate would have it, the script was changed afterward and went to Krithi Shetty. Shivani Rajasekhar stated that even now, if she has to do any lip lock or intimate scenes, she must ask herself.

It is widely known that Krithi Shetty has acted in the film Uppena, and the character had a few intimate scenes. It’s Shivani’s bad luck that the script was changed after she rejected it, and in a way, it helped Krithi.

The hype and anticipation about Salaar are known to all. While the film has seen postponement much to the fans’ disappointment, there is still a huge buzz for Salaar pan-India. Definitely, the buzz was different from before the postponement. After the team postponed the release date, they re-shot the film’s parts and added a song. These changes after the postponement gave the audience a feeling that Prashanth Neel was not satisfied with the first output, leading to some doubts over the final output.

The bookings that have opened in the USA and UK are definitely not on par with the bookings that opened for the September 28th release date. During the previous release date, the advance bookings were amazing and everyone felt that Salaar would even break Rajamouli films Baahubali 2 and RRR openings.

But now the bookings are not at that pace and in other languages also, the bookings are very dull. Yes, there is a lot of time for release so definitely there will be a jump in bookings after the trailer. Coming to Telugu, the film will surely take a massive opening even if the trailer is not up to the mark. But for other languages’ success, a solid trailer is extremely important.

Even in Telugu, the trailer will play some role and another point to be considered is that so far only a teaser has been released and the audience has no further glimpse into the movie. There are only two songs out of which one is the mother song and the other one is the item song and the team does not want to release the songs. So practically only the trailer is coming out as promotional content. Hence it is vital that the trailer must create a solid impact.

Kotabommali PS received a great word of mouth and mostly positive reviews on the first day. However, despite favorable reviews, Kotabommali PS saw limited set of audience in theaters and the occupancy was not that great.

But the film picked up, and its Day 2 was 50% Greater than Day 1, as it collected a Gross of 2.5Cr on Day 2. The Total Gross for 2 Days is 4.25Crs.

Animal movie Telugu states business details are out. It is widely known that Bollywood Star Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s gangster drama Animal is all set to be released on December 1. The movie’s Telugu states rights have been bought by renowned producer Dil Raju for 15Cr. He is releasing the film on his own in Uttarandhra and Nizam regions. Animal movie Telugu states business details are as follows.

Excluding Nizam and Uttarandhra, the other territories’ business is expected to be around 6 Cr. For Dil Raju, from Uttarandhra and Nizam, the movie has to collect around 9Cr to make him safe. The trailer of Animal has created a massive buzz around the movie. 

The Hyderabad advance bookings have already started on a super sensational note. If the movie opens with positive word of mouth, then the breakeven is expected to be completed in 4-5 days, with the hype, and it will be a jackpot deal for Dil Raju. Animal movie’s Telugu states business has been done, and to achieve breakeven, the film needs to collect 15Cr+ share from Telugu states.

The film marks the first collaboration between Ranbir and filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for films like Arjun Reddy and its blockbuster Hindi remake Kabir Singh. Animal is billed as a ‘violent’ film focusing on a complex relationship between Ranbir Kapoor and his father, played by Anil Kapoor. The film’s trailer was excellent, and it boosted the film’s advance bookings. Animal will target the biggest Telugu opener for a Bollywood Hero.

T-Series and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures have collaborated to produce Animal. The film will compete against Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur, about the life of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw, and his role in the 1971 war with Pakistan.

The film will also feature Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, and Indrajith Sukumaran, key actors in the first part. The movie will be released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Mega Prince Varun Tej, Karuna Kumar, Vyra Entertainments Pan India Movie Matka Regular Shoot will start from December.

Mega Prince Varun Tej will be back to work soon. He is all set to begin the regular shoot of his maiden Pan Indian film Matka with director Karuna Kumar of Palasa fame. The movie to be produced on a grand scale by Mohan Cherukuri (CVM) and Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala of Vyra Entertainments will go on floor from December.

The team is busy with pre-production formalities and massive sets are erected to recreate the milieu from the 50s to 80s, as the story takes place between 1958-1982. It is based on a real incident that shook the entire nation and the story is set in the backdrop of Vizag. A giant set depicting old Vizag city is being constructed in a grand way in Hyderabad. The movie will have multiple action sequences which will be supervised by 4 fight masters.

Varun Tej will appear in four different get-ups in the movie, as the story spans 24 years. He undergoes a complete makeover for the movie, which will be the highest budget entertainer for the actor.

Norah Fatehi and Meenakshi Chowdary are roped in to play opposite Varun Tej in the film that also features Naveen Chandra and Kannada Kishore.

The makers zeroed in on a team of wonderful technicians to work for the movie. GV Prakash Kumar, who is one of the busiest composers in the south, will be providing music. Karthika Srinivas R is the editor. Ashish Teja is the production designer and Suresh is the art director.

Matka will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages.
