0

Hrithik Roshan and NTR’s much-awaited War 2 will arrive in theaters in another four days. The film’s ticket bookings are expected to open today. War 2’s success is crucial for the YRF Spy Universe.

Till now, a total of 5 films have been released from Yash Raj Films’ Spy Series, with War being the 6th film. The first four films, Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan, achieved blockbuster results at the box office and took the series to the next level.

YRF SPY Universe Plans Disturbed With Tiger 3’s Underperformance

But the last film of the Spy Series, Tiger 3, did not work well at the box office as per expectations, so there was speculation that audiences’ interest somehow decreased for the YRF Spy universe.

The team of Yash Raj Films actually planned a big film in the Spy Universe, Tiger vs. Pathaan, which was set to be the biggest movie of Bollywood. However, it has been put temporarily on hold due to the Tiger 3 result.

War 2’s Success is important to YRF Spy Universe

So now the YRF spy series itself relies on the result of the War’s sequel. That is why Hrithik Roshan and NTR’s War 2’s success is crucial for the YRF Spy Universe, as a positive result is mandatory for the series to continue.

If the sequel of War sees a big success, then immediately, many crazy films in the series will start rolling. Also, with NTR’s addition, in this spy universe, the makers will find big South Indian audiences, especially Telugu audiences; with that, the spy series will reach all corners of Indian audiences.

The full-fledged advance bookings of the film, along with the Telugu pre-release event, are happening today. The War 2 pre-release mania will begin today, and the film will hit big screens on 14th August.

Producers Announce Worker Pay Hike

0

A few days ago, TFEF (Telugu Film Employees’ Federation) called for a strike, as they wanted their wages to be hiked by 30%. After multiple discussions, producers announced a pay hike for workers, which they had not agreed to.

Producers give clarity on wage hike

The Telugu Film Chamber has given a green signal for workers earning Rs 2000 or less per day to increase their wages by 15% in the first year, 5% in the second year, and 5% in the third year.

Producers are also willing to increase the wages by 20% in the first year for workers earning Rs 1000 or less per day, and they will get a 0% hike in the second year and 5% in the third year.

TFEF Not Happy With Producers Council’s Decision

The Telugu Film Employees’ Federation has expressed dissatisfaction over the recent decision taken by the Producers’ Council and Film Chamber on the wage hike for cine workers.

The producers announced a pay hike for workers, which they did not agree with. As said above, the Film Chamber had recently decided to increase the wages of those earning Rs 2000 or less in three installments. The Employees’ Federation did not react positively to this decision.

The Employees’ Federation demands the increase in Wages for all unions

Federation President Anil said that this decision will divide the members of the Federation. He demanded that the wages of 13 unions that earn daily wages should be increased. The Federation members accuse the producers of saying that only 10 unions will get a wage increase, and the rest of them are still left with lower wages.

They demand a wage increase for the remaining three unions: Dancers, Fighters, and Technicians. They said that they would not agree to the 4 conditions set by the producers and announced that they would protest at Annapurna Seven Acres tomorrow morning.

Producers and workers are still fighting over the wages issue

Federation President Anil Vallabhaneni made it clear that they would participate in the discussions if the chamber calls them again on Monday. With this, the issue of Tollywood workers vs. producers seems to be not ending soon.

The Film Chamber is not ready to hike the wages according to the Federation’s wish. Producers already say that they are providing more wages. Let us see where the issue goes with this protest.

Hombale Films banner has become a big production house in recent years. Their recent film, Mahavatar Narsimha, is shaking the box office, and they also have Kantara 1 coming up. Meanwhile, Hombale Films confirms new ventures with Prabhas and Hrithik Roshan.

Everyone knows that Prashant Neel and Prabhas’s action saga, Salaar, has a sequel coming up, and besides that, the Pan-Indian actor also has another project lined up with the production house.

Hombale Films to work with Prabhas and Hrithik Roshan

In May 2025, Hombale Films announced a big film with Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan. The details about the film’s director and other crew are yet to be known. In a recent interaction, team Hombale Films confirmed new ventures with Prabhas and Hrithik Roshan.

Certainly, the public will be excited to know more about the big projects starring Hrithik and Prabhas, especially Salaar 2 starring the latter. Let us hope that both films will get on track as soon as possible.

Kantara Chapter 1: A Potentially Big Blockbuster Loading For Hombale Films

Meanwhile, after the huge success of Kantara, Rishab Shetty, the actor-director, is now busy with its prequel, Kantara Chapter 1, set to release in theaters on October 2, 2025.

Team Hombale is all set to score another Pan-Indian blockbuster with this film. Rukmini Vasanth takes on a key role in the film, and her first-look poster was released recently. She appears as Kanakavathi in this highly anticipated movie, and the poster suggests the actress could be playing a gorgeous princess.

War 2: Inside the Possibilities of Bollywood’s Biggest Opening

0

The sixth film of the YRF Spy Universe, War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and NTR, will be out in theaters worldwide in another five days. The film’s pre-release event will be held tomorrow in Hyderabad. War 2 has all the possibilities of getting Bollywood’s biggest opening.

As said above, the film is the sixth one in the Spy Universe films, and it also has a unique South/North star cast with Hrithik and NTR’s combination. These two factors can easily make the film deliver the biggest opening for Bollywood by miles.

War 2 has good hype, but the competition with Coolie affects its craze among audiences

But the film is getting released in competition with Coolie, and if we compare both movies’ promotional content, War’s sequel did not achieve the required buzz because of its promotional content.

War 2: Possibilities of Bollywood’s Biggest Opening

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan gathered close to 130 Cr gross worldwide and is the biggest opening day grosser for Bollywood. War 2 overseas is expected to open with more than 3 million, and from southern states, the film is expected to do more than 40 Cr gross with NTR’s star power and the combination.

Hritik Roshan and NTR’s War 2 has all the possibilities of getting Bollywood’s biggest opening, and to achieve a record-breaking opening for a Hindi film, it needs a 55 Cr+ start in India.

The film must score a 100 Cr+ start in India to set a new benchmark for Bollywood. Certainly, there are still high chances for the film to open with an all-time record opening, unless the Indian bookings see a dull response.

Lokesh Kanagaraj Alters Climax for Nagarjuna?

0

It is widely known that Telugu senior hero Akkineni Nagarjuna plays a villain role in Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie. If we look at Lokesh’s earlier films, Master and Vikram, Vijay Sethupathi’s character was very well designed in both movies, But in the climax, it completely leans toward the hero’s side; Vijay Sethupathi’s character does not stand tall against the opposing hero.

In Leo, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun’s characters were poorly written from the start, and it became even worse in the climax. Recently, Sanjay Dutt also expressed that his character was not well written.

While coming to coolie, Nagarjuna is one of the biggest stars in cinema, and Lokesh has to maintain a balance between hero and villain, including the climax.

The director has a task, as he should not end the villain on a weak note like his earlier films. Even for Nagarjuna, it is a big burden not to let his character down at any point.

If we observe Nag’s recent release, Kuberaa was very well received by the neutral audiences who are happy with his performance, but fans have been extremely unhappy because the balance between his and Dhanush’s characters was missed in the 2nd half.Dhanush takes the center stage in the latter part of Kuberaa, and if Coolie also goes that way, definitely, fans will not be happy.

Lokesh Kanagaraj presented Nagarjuna in a very stylish avatar; Simon’s look and attitude became one of the major attractions of Coolie. But at any stage of the film Lokesh must maintain the right balance and give Nagarjuna proper justification. It was essential to satisfy both Nagarjuna’s fans and the Telugu audience

War 2 Overseas: Poor Trending

0

NTR fans are highly excited for War 2, which marks the Bollywood debut of their favorite hero. Co-starring with Hrithik Roshan, NTR is all set to entrance audiences. However, War 2 sees poor trending overseas.

Everyone knows that the sequel to War is getting released in competition with Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie, and the former is getting highly impacted by the clash.

War 2 Gets Affected By Coolie’s Craze

South audiences, including Telugu, are preferring Coolie over War 2, as the advance bookings for the film are moving on a very slow note, and the trend is not picking up yet. The overseas advance bookings total of the YRF production stands around 500K.

Hrithik Roshan and NTR’s War 2 sees poor trending overseas. Initially, it was expected to open with more than 5 million and set a new benchmark for Bollywood.

However, looking at this trend, the film achieving a record opening for Hindi films looks not possible, and even to get a 3M+ start overseas, the film needs a massive jump in the coming days.
