The summer season will be without big stars releases this year. It is widely known that Summer is considered as the best season for Tollywood as the period delivered many all time blockbusters. Also, movies will have good long run in this season. This is the reason many big stars plan the release in Summer. However, this year’s summer season will be without big stars releases.

2024 has some most-hyped films from Tollywood. The most significant ones are NTR’s Devara, Ram Charan’s Game Changer, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, and Prabhas’s global film Kalki 2898 AD. While Game Changer and Pushpa 2 have been ruled out of the Summer period long back, even the duo of NTR, and Prabhas are also moving out of the race.

There were only three movies which had the chance to release on summer before. NTR’s Devara was announced to be released on April 5th, but the film’s shoot is still pending and an official announcement on postponement is expected to be out very soon.

Prabhas’s Kalki was announced to be released on 9th May, but the buzz is the CG works for the film are not yet completed. It will take much more time and likely to be moved to Dasara time.

Nandamuri Balakrishna and Bobby’s film is also expected to come post summer only. However, if the unit wraps up the things as planned then this movie has chances to hit screens on Summer.

So most likely this year’s Summer will be without our big stars releases. Tier 2 films like Family Star, Tillu Square and dubbed films like Indian 2 will rule the Summer.

Fighter movie release banned in Gulf countries

Fighter movie release has been banned in Gulf countries. It is widely known that the India’s first-ever Aerial Action Thriller movie ‘Fighter’, directed by Siddharth Anand, will have Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in it. It will be released in theaters on January 25th, 2024. The latest news is that Fighter movie release has been banned in Gulf countries.

The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Akshay Oberoi and Karan Singh Grover among others. Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone have never worked together on screen before in Fighter. The film has received decent advance bookings so far, but the Republic Day holiday on Friday is giving it more momentum than the Day 1.

The film, Fighter has been denied release in all Gulf countries, except for the UAE, according to the most recent news. In the UAE the movie passed the censor with PG 15 classification. The GCC Censors have not given the go-ahead to Siddharth Anand and his team.

On January 10th, 2024, the censor screening took place, and on January 23rd, it was announced that Fighter won’t be released in nearly all Gulf countries. The denial of release is a significant setback for the makers.

Although the exact reason is unknown, it is probable that it was due to something that the censors deemed to be disturbing or objectionable. Usually, films involving elements like terrorism or India — Pakistan conflicts will be banned in Gulf countries. Recently, Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 was banned in Kuwait and Qatar. The fighter’s business loss could range from 500k to 1 million dollars because the GCC Censors have denied clearance in the Gulf countries.

It is widely known that the current generation’s number one music director Anirudh Ravichander has been working on NTR’s pan-Indian action drama, Devara, under the direction of Koratala Siva. The latest reports strongly suggest that Anirudh is delaying his work for Devara.

According to reports, the song shoots for the film are still pending and Anirudh is the reason for it. The star composer of South Indian Cinema is currently working on multiple big projects and tours, resulting in a delay in the work of ‘Devara’.

The fans of NTR always wanted their favorite hero to work with Anirudh, and they were delighted when the Katthi fame composer was committed to this project long back ago. However, no one would have imagined that he will be one of the reasons for the film’s postponement.

The latest buzz in the industry circles is the much awaited film of NTR, Devara is postponed, and it is said that the songs of the film have not been shot yet. As said above, the reason behind this is Anirudh’s busy schedule as he has big lineup of projects in hands. Lavanya Tripathi’s OTT web series Miss Perfect streaming details are out. A few months ago, actress Lavanya Tripathi married Varun Tej in a lavish ceremony held in Italy. She is now back to shooting and is in the process of launching her new OTT show, Miss Perfect, on Disney+ Hotstar. The trailer was unveiled at a major event in Hyderabad yesterday (January 22) and it appears to be quite enjoyable. Lavanya Tripathi’s OTT web series Miss Perfect streaming details are out. 

In this show, Lavanya Tripathi plays the role of a neat freak who newly enters an apartment society and there she encounters a handsome but messy man, played by Abhijeet, who lives carelessly. Interestingly, Lavanya changes her appearance, becomes a maid named Lakshmi, and plays two characters simultaneously. The series will be streaming on OTT from February 2nd. 

Miss Perfect is also an important project for actor Abhijeet, who hasn’t done anything significant since winning the title of Reality Game Show Bigg Boss in Telugu a few years ago. Lavanya Tripathi is seen as a woman who has OCD issues and is a neat freak. Harshvardhan and Jhansi are also featured in the promo, which is entertaining.

Three Pan-India biggies are likely to postpone release dates. This year, Devara, Pushpa 2, and Kalki are the three big budget films confirmed to arrive. NTR’s Devara was announced for 5th April release, while Prabhas’s Kalki was announced for 9th May release. Icon Star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 was announced for 15th August release. The latest reports strongly suggest that the three Pan-India biggies are likely to postpone release dates.

All the above-mentioned three movies are big budget pan-Indian films. According to the buzz, all three films are likely to postpone their release date due to pending works. We must wait and see what dates will the makers of these big films lock if postponement plans are true.

The release dates shuffles of Pan Indian films will hugely impact on other films. However, one thing is guaranteed that these three films will have the best technical output because the budgets are not limited, and they are going for pan-India releases.

RRR producer offers record remuneration for Vijay

Vijay is currently working on Venkat Prabhu project titled GOAT. The first look and a few posters of the film have been released in which ‘Thalapathy’ can be seen in a young look and an older one.

After GOAT, there’s no official announcement on Vijay’s next film. According to Kollywood buzz Vijay is likely to do his next film with Tollywood Producer DVV Danayya- the producer of RRR. Danayya is said to have offered a record remuneration for Vijay.

Before this, Vijay worked with another key Telugu producer Dil Raju in 2023 where he charged a record remuneration as well. The same is being repeated now but the only change here is that the director will be a Tamil one. As per reports, Karthik Subbaraj, who recently delivered the superhit Jigarthanda 2 will be directing this film.

Several Telugu top producers are focusing on the Tamil market at the moment. Dil Raju started this with Vijay’s Varisu while Mythri Movie Makers opened an office in Chennai and will be working with Ajith next. And now Danayya with DVV Entertainments is looking to repeat the same.

Captain Miller and Ayalaan 11 Days worldwide box office collections are out. At Pongal 2024 there was an interesting clash between Tamil heroes Dhanush and Siva Karthikeyan. Both the films belong to different genres. While one is a periodic action drama, the other one is a Sci FI Entertainer. Captain Miller and Ayalaan 11 Days worldwide box office collections are out.

Dhanush’s Captain Miller took a good lead in opening over Ayalaan in Tamil Nadu, but from Day 2 Ayalaan dominated the clash. For 11 days, Ayalaan has collected 50Cr Gross in Tamil Nadu whereas Captain Miller has collected 36Cr Gross, which means Ayalaan takes a clear lead. However, in Karnataka, and Kerala, Captain Miller has a lead over Ayalaan and even in North India also Captain Miller has a lead as it was released in Hindi version too.

Captain Miller has collected has 12Cr Gross at the rest of India, whereas Ayalaan has collected 4 Cr Gross only. Overall in India, Ayalaan’s Gross is 54Cr and Captain Miller Gross is 48Cr. Both Captain Miller and Ayalaan have collected in the same range Overseas, 16Cr. At the worldwide box office, Captain Miller has collected 64Cr Gross and Ayalaan has gathered 70Cr Gross.

It is interesting to note that both these films will be released in Telugu on 26th January, and we must wait and see which film will dominate in Telugu States.

Finally, the Animal team officially confirms the OTT streaming date. It is widely known that there is a massive buzz around the OTT release of Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s action drama. The movie was supposed to be out on digital platform from 26th January, but there was no official confirmation from the Animal team and Netflix team.

The audiences have been eagerly waiting for the official update and finally the Animal team officially confirms the OTT streaming date. On X (formerly known as Twitter), the official handle of the film, Animal gave a hint that the movie will stream from Republic Day by putting Indian flag symbol.

Animal was a massive blockbuster at the box office and collected 900Cr+ worldwide Gross. The OTT version is said to be having additional scenes of Rashmika Mandanna. The makers of the film also faced a few legal issues recently.

Cine1 Private Ltd and T-Series have settled their contract dispute over the film “Animal” outside of court, according to a notice received by the Delhi High Court. This agreement paved the way for the film’s OTT release.

The dispute raised because of Cine1’s allegations of contract violations, which claimed a 35% profit share and intellectual property rights in the film. According to the lawsuit, T-Series promoted and released the film without approval, withholding financial details, and not honoring the agreed profit share.

T-Series claimed that Cine1 surrendered rights for Rs 2.6 crore due to an amendment. Despite a scheduled hearing on January 22, both parties settled the matter. The court is planning to dispose of it on January 24th.

Fighter box office success crucial for War 2

Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter is all set to release this weekend. The action drama featuring an impressive star cast of Hrithik, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor among others has managed to impress the Bollywood audience with its songs and trailer and may just take solid openings due to its release on a Republic Day weekend.

While Fighter is an individual release and not a part of YRF Spy Universe, its success will be crucial for Hrithik’s next film War 2 which is a part of the universe.

With Tiger 3, YRF Spy Universe saw its first setback in their franchise. The audience expressed some boredom with these over-the-top action films with similar backdrops and action setups. The failure of Tiger 3 caused the postponement of the Tiger vs Pathaan movie and it may just not see the light of day.

War 2 is the next YRF Spy Universe project and stars NTR and Hrithik Roshan. While Fighter Is not the part of YRF spy series its theme promises a similar kind of story. The advance bookings of Fighter are not picking momentum and openings are expected to be less than Rs 25Cr nett in India.

If the film fails to attract audiences then definitely it will be another blow to War 2 movie. If Fighter works then War 2 makers can take a sigh of relief as people still interested in Action spy dramas.

Ayalaan’s sequel has been confirmed with a 50-crore budget for CG and VFX. It is widely known that Siva Karthikeyan’s Sci-Fi Entertainer, Ayalaan, was released on January 12th, worked well at the box office, and emerged as the Pongal winner. The film collected 50Cr Gross in Tamil Nadu, and the worldwide Gross is more than 70Cr+. The Telugu version will be released on 26th January. The latest news is that Ayalaan’s sequel has been confirmed with a 50-crore budget for CG and VFX.  An agreement was officially signed on January 18th, 2024, paving the way for a cinematic masterpiece that promises to set new standards in Indian cinema.

The movie was received well by families and kids. The team received huge appreciation for VFX and CG, but on the story side, there were mixed opinions; even the director accepted this. He said the story looked old because the film was started five years ago. He also asserted that he would take care of the story in the sequel.

Ayalaan Story Plot and other details

Directed by R. Ravikumar, KJR Studios, Phantom FX Studios, and Aadhi Brahma Productions produced Ayalaan. Rakul Preet Singh played the female lead in the movie, while Sharad Kelkar portrayed the lead antagonist. Reportedly, it took the makers years to make the film, especially for its CGI, leading to several delays in the final touch-ups. The film tells us the story of an alien who discovers a group of four friends on Earth. The four friends help it return to its home planet while evading a few hostile scientists and saving Earth from a disastrous outcome.
