Chiranjeevi: 2nd Telugu Hero to be Honored with Padma Vibhushan

Chiranjeevi becomes the 2nd Telugu Hero to be Honored with Padma Vibhushan Award. It is widely known that the Award, Padma Vibhushan, is the second-highest civilian award of India. On the night of 25th January, The Government of India announced it. Only seven actors have been awarded and Chiranjeevi becomes the 2nd Telugu Hero to be Honored with Padma Vibhushan, following Legendary Actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao.

Everyone is familiar with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s contribution as an actor to the film industry and social service as well.

Chiranjeevi, whose original name is Konidela Shiva Shankara Vara Prasad, resides in a small village in West Godavari. Undoubtedly, he is a living testament to the power of hard work and determination when combined with talent.

Here is the list of the winners of Padma Vibhushan Award from the Indian film industry.

Ilaiyaraaja’s Daughter passed away

The daughter of renowned music director Ilaiyaraaja, Bhavatharini, has passed away. During her cancer treatment in Sri Lanka today, she passed away. The 47-year-old Bhavatharini was a winner of the national award. She has composed music for several movies, her latest one being released in 2019.

The Tamil film industry people and audiences are shocked by the sad news. The daughter of renowned music director Ilaiyaraaja, Bhavatharini, has passed away. She has two brothers, Karthik Raja and Yuvan Shankar Raja, who are both music composers as well.

Bhavatharini made her debut as a singer with the song ‘Masthana Masthana’ in the movie Raasaiya, composed by Ilayaraja in 1995. She won the best play back singer for her song “Mayil pola ponnu onnu” in the movie Bharathi also composed by Ilayaraja.

Two years later, she composed music for actor Revathi’s directorial debut, Mitr, My Friend. She worked in Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi films.

Ram Charan and NTR failed to plan like Prabhas

Ram Charan and NTR failed to plan like Prabhas. It is widely known that the biggest director of Indian Cinema, SS Rajamouli’s films, usually take a lot of time as he does big projects. Because of such a long span of film making, the lead heroes in Star’s films face a long gap in their films, resulting in disappointment for fans. However, Ram Charan and NTR failed to plan their films like Prabhas.

But Prabhas did not face this problem, as he rightly planned a movie before Baahubali started. He signed Mirchi and released in 2013, which was a big blockbuster.at the box office. In 2015, Baahubali Part 1 was released, and in 2017 Baahubali Part 2 was released and hardly there was no big gap between both the releases.

Moreover, before Baahubali 2 release only he signed Saaho and a teaser was attached on that time in 2019 Saaho was released after that he released Radhe Shyam, Adipurush and recently Salaar so he never put his fans in a waiting stage and released big pan India films continuously.

Currently, Prabhas’s Kalki 2898 AD is at the end of shooting and The Raja Saab with Maruthi has already completed a few schedules. The Baahubali Actor also has Salaar’s Sequel, Spirit in lineup and Hanu Raghavapudi’s film is in script stage. So the Rebel Star is continuously releasing films without maintaining any gap.

Whereas NTR and Ram Charan failed to plan like Prabhas. After Aravindha Sametha (2018) NTR had no release until RRR which came in 2022. After RRR he took one year time to start Devara and all these time he put fans in waiting position. Ram Charan released Acharya immediately after RRR, but the film became a massive disaster for him.

Thereafter, the Magadheera Actor got stuck with the film Game Changer for a longtime, and the movie is still on sets. Definitely he could have completed another simultaneous film if he had planned perfectly along with Game Changer as there were very long breaks in the shoot of Game Changer, but he stuck to Game Changer only.

Both NTR and Ram Charan did not plan their films like Prabhas and put their fans in waiting position for years. The next Rajamouli film is with Superstar Mahesh Babu and we need to see how he will plan his films.

Yatra 2 is having a Zero Buzz. It is widely known that Director Mahi V Raghav. Tamil Actor Jeeva is playing the role of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The film’s teaser was released recently and failed to get the expected level of craze. Yatra 2 is having a Zero Buzz.

Putting aside the political things, as a film the first part, Yatra, had created good buzz in audiences as the songs worked so well along with the promotional content like teaser, and trailer. Mammootty’s presence gave many positive vibes for the film. Also, the film opened well and collected good numbers at the box office.

But coming to Yatra 2, which is slated for February 8th release, is carrying absolutely zero buzz in audiences. The main reason is promotional content of the film did not work, be it songs, teaser, nothing has worked for audiences until now.

Even though there was a political support but creating a buzz in audiences is crucial for any film, Only fans can not enough to put good numbers at the box office.

Mammotty, the superstar who played YSR in Yatra, will make a brief appearance in Yatra 2. Yatra 2 was produced by UV Celluloid and is expected to be released on February 8th. Mahesh Manjrekar will have another significant part to play in the film.

Q. How do you feel appearing in Telugu after a gap with ‘Captain Miller’?
A. Feeling nice to come to Telugu. The movie took a year to complete, and my previous dubbed movies, ‘Doctor,’ And ‘Don’ have been released and entertained an audience, so I’m very happy.

Q. What homework did you do to work with an amazing actor like Dhanush for ‘Captain Miller’?
A. Nothing specific, but director Arun Matheswaran briefed us about the movie and the character. We followed his guidance for body language and character portrayal.

Q. Why do you choose performance-based roles?
A. It depends on the story. If I like the story and my character, I take it up. ‘Captain Miller’ came along, and I really liked the story and the character as narrated by the director.

Q. Shooting under the sun in a rugged role, how was it working with director Arun Matheswaran?
A. I really liked his previous film, and he is a sensible director with a clear vision. Being part of a big canvas movie, I really look up to him.

Q. What can we expect from your role in ‘Captain Miller’?
A. The film itself is very fresh, different, and unique. Set in the backdrop of the 1930s, everything in the film looks fresh for the audience—different characters, costumes, and a unique setting.

Q. How do you think the Telugu audience will receive the movie, considering its success in Tamil?
A. I think they will really like it. The story, action, and emotions in the movie will be enjoyable for the audience.

Q. Reuniting with Nani after ‘Gang Leader,’ how is the movie ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ coming up?
A. It’s coming up well. I am currently shooting for it.

Q. Any other Telugu movies you have signed up for?
A. I am doing a movie with Pawan Kalyan called ‘OG.’

Q. What have you learned from working with versatile actors like Pawan Kalyan, Nani, and Dhanush?
A. They are all hardworking and dedicated to their craft. Additionally, they are humble individuals.

Q. How do you perceive the industry’s number game in terms of actress rankings?
A. I don’t understand the number game because everyone is doing their best, and I don’t involve myself in such things. I just focus on doing my job to the best of my ability.

Q. During Sankranthi, did you watch ‘Ayalaan,’ featuring your ‘Doctor’ co-star Sivakarthikeyan, and other Sankranti releases?
A: Unfortunately, I couldn’t watch them as I was shooting in Hyderabad at the time. However, I’m eager to catch up on all the movies that came out during Sankranthi.

Operation Valentine Postponing the Release Date again?

Is Operation Valentine postponing the release date again? Now this is doing the rounds in the industry circles. Varun Tej’s upcoming action thriller Operation Valentine is a big budget Pan Indian film and the movie was firstly planned for 8th December release but due to many films coming in competition it was postponed to 16th February. The film also did a record business for Non-Theatrical rights.

The makers of the film started promotions started on aggressive mode, and recently, they have released the 1st single Vande Mataram and the song has received good response. The film is getting released in both Hindi and Telugu languages. However, as said above, the news about the film’s postponement is gaining the strength lately. So that made the question rise, Is Operation Valentine postponing the release date again?

Today, the Telugu Film chamber had a discussion regarding Ravi Teja’s Eagle getting a solo release. Sundeep Kishan’s Ooru Peru Bhairava Kona makers said to have put a demand they if the TFC wants them to postpone the release from 9th February they need a solo release date.

The film chamber is said to be have suggested the date of 16th February as an option. They reportedly said that no films are getting released on 16th February. The makers of Ooru Peru Bhairava Kona have not taken a decision on this yet.

But here the thing is, on 16th February Operation Valentine was officially announced to be released, and the promotions have started. But the Telugu Film Chamber said no films are coming on 16th February, which raises new doubts that Operation Valentine might get postponed again.

Akhil has failed to learn any lessons from Agent Failure. It is widely known that the young hero’s previous film Agent was a big failure at the box office. Success or failure definitely not in anyone’s hands and needs many factors to work to make a movie successful. It seems like Akhil has failed to learn any lessons from Agent Failure.

If one spends years of time on a single film and the result did not come in their favor then the effect of such failure will be much more. The same has happened for Akhil’s previous film Agent. The Hero spent long time and put massive efforts for the film, but the movie saw a disaster result.

However, Akhil is doing the same with his next film. There is no official update about his next project, and it has been almost a year since Agent hit the screens. Reportedly, a huge budget film was planned with a new director under UV creations but if that film is taking time to make it on to the sets Akhil could do another films also like love stories or family entertainers.

Akhil should learn from other young heroes

But sticking to the same film is definitely disappointing for fans. Vijay Deverakonda who saw bad results with Liger and Kushi immediately started Family Star as Gowtham Tinnanuri’s big budget project was taking more time as he wants to deliver a blockbuster to his fans.

Natural Nani is continuously doing the films and balancing both big and normal budget films. Even Akhil’s brother Naga Chaitanya also got a bad result with Custody which was released after Agent but the 100% Love actor started a huge budget film Thandel and the shooting is progressing smoothly.

On the the hand, Akkineni Akhil did not even give an official update about his next film. Sometimes planning every film as a big project and putting a lot of time on it also negatively affects on the result. Akhil should realize this and should do films with balancing all kinds of budgets which can make his career back on the right track.

Fans demand the uncut version of Guntur Kaaram on Netflix.  Usually, most movies release extended or deleted scenes on YouTube or OTT platforms. Guntur Kaaram, the latest Sankranthi release of Mahesh Babu is now experiencing the same thing. Fans demand the uncut version of Guntur Kaaram on Netflix.  

Somehow Guntur Kaaram movie’s post-production works were not done properly and lack of required time might be one of the reasons. In the film, some scenes had abrupt editing and non-sync Dialogues. 

The fans of Mahesh Babu are now demanding the makers of the film to correct all these things put on in the OTT version. Also, many stills and shots from the film which were released as promotional content went completely missing in the film. The fans are now demanding the producers on social media to release the uncut version of the film on Netflix. 

It is widely known that the movie, Guntur Kaaram’s digital rights, have been bought by Netflix, and it is expected to be released on OTT in the second week of February, as the film has almost ended its run at the box office. We need to wait and see whether the team will release the same theatrical version or it will do some corrections and put an extended version.
