Hanuman, a box office sensation, ended its run at the box office with phenomenal numbers. The film has been released as a medium-budget film and has collected numbers like big-star hero films.

Hanuman Closing Collections:

In Nizam, the movie has collected 64 crore gross, and it was one of the biggest grossers in Nizam ever. It faces many hurdles on release and the hurdles becoming an advantage for the film too finally ends up being one of the biggest grossers ever. In Andhra Pradesh, the movie has collected 82 crore gross. In Karnataka, 24 Cr gross. Kerala and Tamil Nadu together make up around 4 crore gross, which is the most underperformed area for the film. In north India, the film has collected 62 crore gross.

Overall, in India, the film has collected in the range of 237 crore gross, and overseas, the gross is 57 crore. Hanuman closing worldwide gross is 294 Cr. The film is one of the all top grossers in Tollywood. Only Rajamouli, Prabhas, and Allu Arjun’s pushpa have collected above Hanuman gross. The team is celebrating a 50 days event today. It was a huge success and one of the biggest blockbusters in Hollywood.

There has been huge anticipation in Australia about the OTT release date. The film is arriving on March 8 in Zee5. The next biggie in Tollywood is Prabhas’s Kalki. As of now, the team has announced the May 9 release. The rumors are still going on that Kalki may get postponed. But makers are denying the rumors by saying the film will release on May 9 and the promotions will kick off in March.

Kalki Team also informed us that songs from the film will be released in March itself to close circles and buyers. If promotions get kicked off this month, then Kalki will definitely be on track and will be releasing on May 9th. If not, then the postponement is defined. 9th May is a big date for Kalki as it was the best season for films and mainly no other big films are releasing in this summer. 

The Deciding Month for Ram Charan too

On the other hand, Ram Charan fans are eagerly waiting for Game Changer movie updates and the release date of the movie. Though movie shooting started a long time ago, Ramcharan’s look or teaser has not been released yet. The team is said to be releasing a teaser with a release date on Ramcharan’s birthday, March 27th. 

The team is said to be looking for a September release, and also Ramcharan: Buchi Babu’s title and first look may arrive on Ram Charan’s birthday. There will be mostly no other big star’s updates this month. For Prabhas and Ram Charan This month will be decided for their movie releases.

All the young heroes are completely busy making high-budget pan-Indian movies, and most of them are getting flops and not at all getting good collections or good public reviews. In those criteria, Varjun Tej is also facing problems. Varun Tej is scoring big failures with experimental films continuously. 

He already delivered big failures with Ghani and Antatikahsam, which are different but old plot films that are also disasters. Gandheevadi Arjuna and now Operation Valentine are also heading towards failure as the opening numbers are disappointing. In an Operation Valentine review, Varun Tej said that he keeps on making content-based films even with 50% remuneration or even no remuneration. 

But Varun Tej is not understanding these not-content-oriented films; these are poorly executed films. Audiences will always come out and watch if the content is good. When any hero is doing these kinds of subjects, the content and screenplay should be extraordinary, but Varun Tej fails every time to select those kinds of films that are not executed well. 

At a point, he looked very promising with his films, which made very good theatrical business. Now producers are facing very tough challenges to get theatrical offers. Now, OTT business is also going down. Varun Tej is losing the market, putting his career at big risk. His films are even failing to put up good opening numbers and not even collecting at least 5 crores as of now. 

Varun Tej got good and decent hits in the past, like Fidaa, Tholi Prema, F2, and Gaddalakonda Ganesh. Other than this, his movies flopped and got no good collections at the box office.

The film is registering massive numbers in Tamil Nadu. Normally, Tamil audiences will not turn up for other-language films, but this movie is doing magic in Tamil Nadu. No Malayalam film has collected 3 crore gross before this film in Tamil Nadu. 

Now this film has already crossed the 5 crore gross mark, and on Friday, it registered as the biggest day for the film at the box office with more than one crore collection. This was the first time a Malayalam film grossed one crore in a single day. The movie even surpassed 1.5 crore gross on Friday.

The film is expected to collect a minimum of 15 crore gross in its full run and even go for 20 crore. Rajinikanth’s latest film, Lal Salaam, just collected 20 crore gross in Tamil Nadu, and Manjummel Boys is likely to surpass this film as no other Tamil crazy films are releasing in the coming weeks. In Tamil nadu all main thetares alloting to Manjummel Boys and shows are continuously increasing in multiplexes with heavy ticket demand.

Storyline: A group of eleven friends heads to Kodaikanal for a trip, but things unexpectedly go wrong when one of them falls into a ravine.

This movie stars Soubin Shahir, Khalid Rahman, Ganapathi, Sreenath Bhasi, Jean Paul Lal, Chandu Salimkumar, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, and Deepak Parambol in lead roles. This movie is directed by Chidambaram S. Poduval, who also directed Jan-E-Man, which is a decent movie.

Tamannaah signs Bold and Glamorous Film Sequel

Tamannah, who was last seen in Bhola Shankar has signed her next project and will be seen in Ashok Teja’s direction in the upcoming crime thriller Odela 2. The film is a sequel to Odela Railway Station which was released directly on OTT back in 2022. The first part starred Hebah Patel and featured some bold and glamorous content.

Of late, Tamannah has decided to do glamorous roles and was seen in web series such as Jee Karda and Lust Stories 2 which featured some bold scenes. Tamannah’s role in the Lust Stories 2 managed to grab a lot of headlines with the actress’ steamy sequences with boyfriend Vijay Verma attracting some criticism.

After experimenting with her roles on the small screen, the actress is looking to repeat the same with films. The makers are planning to release Odela 2 in multiple languages. Like part 1 this will be a mystery thriller but with a divine touch this time around.

Interestingly, Sampath Nandi is associated with this project as a creator and not a director. Tamannah and Sampath Nandi have so far worked on films like Raccha, Bengal Tiger and Seetimarr. It needs to be seen if the duo manages to repeat the magic of their combination here as well or not.

Prabhas Movie Updates: Prabhas Launches a Trio of Major Films

In Tollywood, all other stars are different, and Prbahas is different in terms of planning movies. Every star hero is struggling to complete a single film in 2 years, whereas Prabhas releases pan-Indian films at regular intervals.

Currently, he is working on Kalki, which is set for release in May. The team also completes the major shooting portion of Kalki Part 2. And Prabhas is also working on Maruthi’s film, Raja Saab, which is expected to release next year. 

In the second half of this year, Prabhas is going to launch another three big-budget films. One is Salaar Sequel, Hanu Raghavapudi’s film, which is set on a World War II backdrop, and the other is Spirit, where Prabhas plays a sincere cop role under the direction of Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

All three of these films are huge, and shooting is expected to start this year. Prabhas will work in parallel on these projects. Other heroes should take Prabhas as an inspiration and start multiple projects, as Pan Indian Films needs more CG and VFX work and promotions. Like this hero, he can easily work on two to three films at a time, like Prabhas.

Varun Tej’s much anticipated Operation Valentine was released today in Theatres in both Telugu& Hindi language. The team has promoted extensively not only in the Telugu States but also in Hindi markets. This Arial action flick was made with a 42Crs budget and the visual output was satisfying but.. Let’s have a look at Operation Valentine movie full review:

Story:

Wing commander Arjun Dev who is also referred to as Rudra (Varun Tej) married his love interest & colleague Aahana Gill (Manushi Chhillar), an aviation officer takes up the crucial air strike mission on Pakistan after a terrible attack in Pulwama, Kashmir. The story revolves around how Arjun who is a disobeying pilot uses Mission Vajra to stop a massive attack on India.

Performances:

Lead cast Varun Tej & Manushi are apt and perfect for their characters. The rest cast Wing Commander Yash Sharma (Paresh Pahuja), Wing Commander Kabir Singh (Navdeep), Wing Commander Tanya Sharma (Ruhani Sharma), Air Commander Mathur (Sampath Raj), and Dhruv (Abhinav Gomatam) delivered decent performances for their roles.

Analysis:

The film starts slowly by establishing the characters and building up the main plot towards the interval. The first half of the film offers nothing interesting and impressive except the interval block. The second of the film completely deals with the air strike and there are only a few eye-catching scenes. The runtime of the film is 132mins which acts as a huge advantage but still, the film feels laggy at times. Director Shakti Pratap Hada was not successful in establishing an emotional connection which is the main drawback as films like these should have a strong emotional context. The BGM stands out and the visuals were good considering the budget it was made.

Verdict

Reminiscent of “Fighter” in its theme, “Operation Valentine” delivers a passable viewing experience for this weekend. However, viewers expecting a high-octane, emotionally resonant patriotic film may find themselves disappointed by the film’s flat pacing and lack of emotional connection.

Kanguva Update: Suriya Fights with Animals

Suriya has seen a box office blockbuster long ago. Recently, his films have failed miserably at the box office. Two good movies, Soorarai Pottru and Jai Bhim, were released directly on OTT and got good reviews and viewership. But his last film, ET (Etharkkum Thunindhavan), was a huge disaster. Rolex cameo in Vikram has given a big treat to fans, but it was not his lead hero film, and the entry is only the climax. 

Fans expected Kanguva to release last year, but it was postponed to the 2024 summer. After again, it was postponed to the August/September release. Kanguva’s release in 2024 appears to be impossible at this point.

Fans are expecting Kanguva to be a big box office break for Suriya as it has pan-Indian appeal too and is made in 3D with grand visuals. The glipmse has created massive buzz for the film, and a recent poster also did. The poster seemed like a 24 movie poster but looked exciting.

The Recent Kanguva Update from post-production is that Kanguva with a forest backdrop consists of sequences of an eagle, a tiger, an elephant, and a fight scene between crocodiles. It also has a big war scene between Suriya and Bobby Deols, as in Suriya vs. Bobby Deol. Currently, VFX work is happening at Chennai-based Lorvin Studios. And after the completion of VFX, the movie will be sent for 3D mastering. 

The 3D version will then be sent to DSP for final musical re-recording. Plans are on for an IMAX 3D version too!! With all these works, Kanguva Movie Release is likely to move into 2025, as many biggies are coming in the 2nd half of this year. Kanguva will not be released before the end of the year, and the work will most likely continue until the end.
