Naga Chaitanya’s big disappointment for fans and audiences

Tollywood Actor Naga Chaitanya and maverick director Vikram K Kumar collaborated for a web series called Dhootha. This was their third official collaboration after the films, Manam and Thank You. It streamed in December last year on leading OTT giant, Amazon Prime Video. Recently Naga Chaitanya teased the audience with a small glimpse of Dhootha and asked to wait till 19th March. But there is a big appointment for fans and audiences now.

Fans and Audiences felt that the glimpse he shared indicated the sequel for the Web Series. Amazon Prime Video announced many upcoming films and Web Series yesterday at a grand event in Mumbai. They felt that the team would announce the sequel officially on the stage but nothing happened. This caused a big disappointment for the fans. Naga Chaitanya yesterday tweeted thanking the audience for making the Web Series a success. He also said that he was looking forward to doing such a web series.

On the work front, he is currently doing a fisherman backdrop film, titled Thandel directed by Chandoo Mondeti. Sai Pallavi shares the screen space with him in a female lead role. This will be their second collaboration after the film, Love Story.

NTR fans jealous of RC16

The film, RRR created so much of a rift between the fans of both Ram Charan and NTR, the leading actors of the film. Fans went into online debate on Twitter and other platforms about the screen time and performances of both actors. This has been continuing since then and it looks like NTR fans now are a bit jealous of RC16 as well.

Yesterday, the Pooja ceremony of Ram Charan’s RC 16 happened in a grand manner. It triggered a bit of jealousy for the fans of Jr. NTR. After Uppena, Director Buchi Babu Sana wanted to work with Jr. NTR and he narrated a story to him and the actor liked it also. However, due to the other commitments he had with Prashant Neel, he declined to work with Buchi Babu. After this, Buchi Babu narrated the story to Ram Charan who immediately agreed to come on board. Fans feel this was the film Buchi Babu wanted to make with Jr. NTR. It was even once rumored that the film was titled Peddhi.

The main cause of concern for the fans is the big cast and crew of the film. The film has Kannada legendary actor, Shiva Raj Kumar who hailed the film recently. He said that the film’s story blew him away and complimented Buchi Babu. The film also has music by A.R. Rahman, Oscar Awardee. Sanjay Dutt may even come on board. On the other hand, NTR’s film with Prashant Neel is getting delayed and fans feel NTR should have done the film with Buchi Babu.

Much Delayed Game Changer’s song Jaragandi slated for release long ago will now release as his birthday gift for the fans. Game Changer’s shoot too happened recently at Vizag’s RK Beach. The team shot some important portions where both Ram Charan and Kiara Advani were present. The song is a massy one composed by S.S. Thaman. Apart from this, an update about RC16 is also expected. The Pooja ceremony of the upcoming film happened yesterday with all the important crew.

What is more interesting will be the much-awaited announcement of a film with Director Sukumar. This will be his second collaboration with Sukumar after the Blockbuster Rangasthalam. Fans are very much thrilled with this news and buzz is Sukumar may announce the film on Ram Charan’s Birthday. So this year, it will be a big triple treat for the fans.

Fighter’s OTT Release Disappoints Southern Audiences

Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter made its digital premiere a few days ago on Netflix. This film was one of the most awaited movies of the year but failed to live up to its hype on its theatrical release despite positive reviews and favourable word of mouth.

Directed by Siddharth Anand and released on 25th January, the film got off to a decent start and did well over the Republic Day and subsequent weekend. Fighter, however, failed to cash in on the momentum and subsequently crashed.

While the film disappointed some on its theatrical run, it surely has managed to disappoint the southern fans on its digital premiere. Hrithik Roshan is one of the few Bollywood stars who has a great fan base in southern states.

When the Fighter OTT release was announced, many expected it to be released simultaneously in other languages as well. However, much to the disappointment of everyone, Fighter only had a Hindi version released on Netflix.

The film also featured Anil Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Karan Grover, Akshay Oberoi and Sanjeeda Sheikh and collected more than 370 Cr gross worldwide. This was Siddharth Anand’s immediate next release after 2023 blockbuster Pathaan and that’s why everyone placed high expectations on it which Fighter failed to live up to.

Manjummel Boys achieves another milestone

Recently released Malayalam film, Manjummel Boys became a box office sensation. The film starring no known big stars went on to receive unanimous positive reviews after its release. It became the first and fastest Malayalam film to gross 200 crores worldwide. The film is also officially an Industry hit in Malayalam language. It has also achieved another milestone along with this now.

It has achieved the 1.5 Million dollar Mark in the U.S. market. Apart from Manjummel Boys, no other film had crossed the 1$ Million there. The film becomes the only one from the Malayalam Industry to bag this honor. The film had a direct release in Tamil and it even performed very well there as well. Now, a Telugu dubbed version is also getting planned and the film may even touch the 2$ Million mark as well. The Telugu version of Premalu has already become a box office success with the Telugu version crossing the double digit 10 crores gross worldwide.

The Total overseas gross of Manjummel Boys is at the 8.1$ Million mark and is all set to cross another Malayalam blockbuster, 2018’s 8.26$ Million Mark by this weekend to emerge as the all-time Malayalam’s highest grosser in the overseas market.

Double Ismart: Ram Pothineni Announces New Release Date

Double Ismart is an action drama film starring Ram Pothineni in the lead role. Made as a direct sequel to Ismart Shankar (2019), it also stars Kavya Thapar and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. It is written, directed, and co-produced by Puri Jagannadh.

The film was slated for a worldwide release on March 8, 2024, but owing to production delays, the makers have failed to meet the deadline. And since then, no official update regarding the new release date has been issued by the makers. Today, Ram Pothineni, who attended an event in Hyderabad, interacted with the media, during which he announced the possible release date of the film as June 2024, right after the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections.

Suriya’s Kanguva: Story Line Revealed

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s The Goat Life: Runtime & Censor Details

The Goat Life is an epic survival drama film in Malayalam cinema, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role. It is an adaptation of the classic Malayalam novel Aadujeevitham by Benjamin, which is based on a true incident. Written, directed, and co-produced by Blessy, it stars Amala Paul as the female lead.

Touted as a ‘pan-Indian’ project, the film is slated for a worldwide release on March 28, 2024. Election Commission Sending Legal Notices Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh

As we all know, actor-politician Pawan Kalyan will be next seen in a cop drama film titled ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’; directed by Harish Shankar, it stars Sreeleela as the female lead. As a part of promotions, the makers unveiled a teaser called ‘Bhagat’s Blaze’ yesterday, which sparked controversy since it looks more like a political advertisement than a film’s promotional content.

While there’s no ban on political advertisements, one has to get permission and undergo a pre-certification process before using them in digital or print media. Mythri Movie Makers, the company that’s bankrolling the film, hasn’t taken any permission from the Election Commission of India before unveiling the teaser.

Mukesh Kumar, the chief electorate officer of Andhra Pradesh, has responded to this issue during a media interaction. He began by saying that he hasn’t viewed the content, and if the claims (that it is a political advertisement) are true, they are going to send legal notices to the filmmakers and Janasena Party.

Shiva Raj Kumar hails Ram Charan’s film story as mind-blowing

Actor Ram Charan’s upcoming film, #RC16 will be directed by Buchi Babu Sana, fame of Uppena. The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor alongside Ram Charan for the first time. It will have music composed by Oscar Award Winning composer, A.R. Rahman. The film’s official pooja ceremony took place today with all the above people present along with Shankar, Sukumar, and Actor Chiranjeevi. The film will also have Kannada Actor Shiva Raj Kumar playing a crucial role.

When asked about the film, he shared some important facts. He said that the director Buchi Babu Sana was very humble. The Kannada Actor also said that the latter narrated the story for about one and a half hour but it seemed like a mere 30 minutes. He also stated that the film felt completely on the next level. The Actor also wondered how the director had imagined the lead actor’s character to such a level.

The film is expected to go on set in the next month. Music sittings also have taken place between Buchi Babu and A. R. Rahman recently. It will be a Pan India film with a big budget. There are also rumors regarding the title being Peddi. We’ll have to wait and see about that as well.
