Actor Suriya and Director Sudha Kongara both collaborated on the film, Soorarai Pottru (Aakasam Nee Haddhu Raa) The film received rave reviews and also a cult status after its direct OTT release. Many hailed the performance of Suriya and the direction of Sudha Kongara. The film was a real-life story based on G. R. Gopinath, founder of the low-cost airline, Simplify Deccan. Suriya who had suffered a flop streak received a great sigh of relief after its success on the OTT. Fans were delighted when the combo announced another film. But it seems some issues have been raised between both.
Recently Dulquer Salmaan who was on board the film opted out citing dates issues as the film is taking a long time. Suriya too gave an official update regarding the movie saying it might take more time for the film to happen. This is raising doubts about the creative issues between Suriya and Sudha Kongara.
There are rumors about the project getting shelved also. Buzz is also that Suriya 43 might happen with some other director. Suriya received a national award for his performance in Soorarai Pottru and fans don’t want this film to get canceled. Let’s wait and see if the team gives an update about the film in the future.
