Double Ismart is an action drama film starring Ram Pothineni in the lead role. Made as a direct sequel to Ismart Shankar (2019), it also stars Kavya Thapar and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. It is written, directed, and co-produced by Puri Jagannadh.
The film was slated for a worldwide release on March 8, 2024, but owing to production delays, the makers have failed to meet the deadline. And since then, no official update regarding the new release date has been issued by the makers. Today, Ram Pothineni, who attended an event in Hyderabad, interacted with the media, during which he announced the possible release date of the film as June 2024, right after the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections.
Double Ismart is a crucial film for both Ram and Puri for the same reason; they’ve faced a major setback with their previous theatrical release, and they’re yet to prove their mettle with this film. As of today, no promotional content, such as a teaser or glimpse, has been released by the makers.
