Sharwanand’s Manamey – Censor & Runtime Details

Following the success of Oke Oka Jeevitham (2022), Sharwanand took a two-year-long break from films for personal reasons. In the meantime, the actor has tied the knot to a US-based techie. And now he is back to business, with his next venture hitting the screens this Friday.

Titled ‘Maname’, this is a clean family entertainer aimed solely at urban audiences. Helmed by Sriram Aditya, it features Krithi Shetty of Uppena (2021) fame as the female lead. The makers have already wrapped up the censorship formalities.

Maname is censored with a ‘U/A’ certification for a crisp runtime of 2 hours, 35 minutes. Also featuring Vennala Kishore in a supporting role, the film explores the themes of love, family, and growth when a little boy enters the life of a carefree young man. Hesham Abdul Wahab composed the tunes for this flick.

Sequel Announced For A Disastrous Netflix Series!

Heeramandi: The Daimond Bazaar is a period drama television series created by the legendary filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Bankrolled on a record budget by the director himself, it stars an ensemble cast of Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Manisha Koirala, and Richa Chadha.

Amidst high expectations, this series premiered on Netlfix in the first week of May this year to mixed-to-negative reviews from critics who criticised the glorification of Mughals. Despite this, it attracted good viewership on the streaming platform solely because of the ‘Bhansali’ brand.

But surprising enough, a sequel to this TV series has been officially announced by the streaming platform lately. This move received backlash from netizens, the media, and, of course, fans of the actors. It must be seen how the second season of Heeramandi will fare on Netflix.

Pushpa 2 : Sukumar repeating the same mistake

While the Pushpa 2 release date was announced as 15th August a long time back, there is some tension regarding the movie’s progress. It’s a known fact that Sukumar did not finish the schedules as planned, and continuous postponements and delays have put the team in a work mode till the last day of release. The same happened for Pushpa as well where the team worked till the last minute because of the delayed schedules.

Excluding Allu Arjun, no one attended the promotional events due to pending work last time around. Sukumar came to promotions just before the release day. Now, the same mistake is being repeated for Pushpa 2 which is one of the most crucial films for Allu Arjun as well as Sukumar. The schedules are getting delayed and major portions are pending.

A little over 2 Months are pending for the film and it is still on sets and is expected to be on sets till July end and even may go on till August 1st week. For a film like Pushpa2, the movie should be completed by at least one month before pan India promotions and that’s unlikely to happen now.

In the upcoming days, it appears like the pre-release event’s trend is going to change. Till now most of the cinema events like pre-release events, audio launch events, and trailer launches have been taking place in Hyderabad. But now, a number of events are likely to be shifted in Andhra Pradesh.

The landslide victory of the TDP-JSP alliance has led to a shift in the political landscape and some changes are expected to happen in the movie industry functioning as well. One of the main changes that will come is regarding these events.

There are two main reasons for this shift. One of them is Chandrababu Naidu who has a close association with the cinema industry and the second one is Pawan Kalyan who has almost the entire industry with him. Many events are likely to happen in Amaravati and Pithapuram from now.

Kalki 2898 AD producer Aswini Dutt who is a hardcore supporter of Chandra Babu Naidu and a long-term TDP sympathiser is likely to start this trend with his upcoming Prabhas starter.

Kalki: 2898 AD is undoubtedly the biggest film of the year in terms of budget, star cast, and box-office potential. While the project initially struggled with creating buzz among audiences, its prelude animated series ‘Bujji & Bhairava’ has emerged as a breath of fresh air with massive viewership on Prime Video.

Considering this, the trade expects this Prabhas-starrer to have a record opening at the box office. But, as we all know, the government of Andhra Pradesh hasn’t been kind to the Telugu film fraternity in terms of ticket hikes and special show permissions.

Now that the government has changed and the film’s producer, Ashwini Dutt, is a close associate of Chandrababu Naidu (who’s expected to become the new Chief Minister), the newly formed government is expected to be generous in granting permissions and ticket hikes. Having said that, Kalki: 2898 AD is expected to register record numbers in Telugu states surpassing those of RRR (2022).

Kalki: 2898 AD is an epic sci-fi action film created by Nag Ashwin Reddy of Mahanati (2018) fame. Touted as the most expensive Indian film ever made and a ‘Pan-World’ project, it carries high expectations from audiences across the country.

Starring ‘Rebel Star’ Prabhas in the lead role, it is slated for a grand release worldwide on June 27, 2024. With the date only a few weeks away from today, the makers have kicked off extensive promotions, beginning with ‘Bujji & Bhairava’, a preludu animated series based on the characters of the film.

This attempt received praise from audiences and emerged as a success. Following this, the makers are gearing up for the launch of the first theatrical trailer. Today, an official announcement has been made stating that the trailer for Kalki: 2898 AD will be out on June 10, 2024. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Kamal Hassan, and Amitabh Bachchan in supporting roles.

Kalki 2898 AD’s extended starcast is surely going to surprise many. The lead cast already features Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan alongside Prabhas and Kamal Haasan. Apart from this, many actors will be seen playing the cameos. There is a buzz that heroes like Dulquer Salmaan, Nani, and Vijay Deverakonda are playing some important cameos.

Now, there are reports that Mrunal Thakur is also playing a cameo in the film. With so many star studded cameos on the way in Kalki 2898 AD, it will be interesting to see how Nag Ashwin manages to show all these characters on the big screen. Tamannaah and Rashi Khanna starrer Aranmanai 4 became a blockbuster hit giving relief to Kollywood after many days. It also served as a relief for both Tamannaah and Rashi Khanna who were in need of a hit. Aranmanai 4 also became the highest grosser of the year collecting around 95 crores worldwide. Now, Aranmanai 4 OTT streaming is all set and its details are out.

Aranmanai 4 will be streamed on leading OTT Giant, Disney+Hotstar on the 14th or 15th of June. The film is the fourth installment of the Aranmanai series which is famous for the horror comedy genre. The franchise also enjoys a fanbase in the Telugu market. Aranmanai 4 was also made as a bi-lingual for some portions. It was also titled Baak in Telugu. Comedians Vennela Kishore and Srinivasa Reddy became a part of the comic relief in the Telugu version. But it didn’t perform well in Telugu version.

Directed by Sundar C, the film initially had no high expectations but performed very well thanks to the glamour of both the lead heroines, Tamannaah and Rashi Khanna. He will also be preparing the fifth installment in the series. He hasn’t announced his upcoming film yet as the director.
