Nani’s risk: Collaborating with another flop director

Tollywood Actor Nani usually works with new directors and he often suffers blows at the box office as well. Normally when a director failes miserably, actors don’t show interest in them. Same is the case for Sailesh Kolanu who delivered hits with his Hit Franchise but failed with Saindhav badly this year. Saindhav became one of Tollywood’s biggest disasters. Now it is said that Nani is taking a risk by collaborating with Sailesh Kolanu for his Hit 3.

Nani made a cameo appearance at the end of Hit 2 starring Adivi Sesh. Nani appeared as a police officer in this cameo appearance. So it is evident that he will be portraying the police role for Hit 3. Nani is currently working on his Saripodaa Sanivaaram directed by Vivek Athreya who earlier worked for Ante Sundaraniki. This film was a box office failure but gave chance to the director again for Saripodaa Sanivaaram.

So Nani will be doing this again with Sailesh Kolanu for Hit 3. It is also evident that Nani is concerned about the script but not the result of these films. He is also contemplating to work with Venu who rose to fame with Balagam which may be announced this year.

Kalki > Amarendra Baahubali: Prabhas

Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas is all set for release on June 27th this weekend. The team has completed all the formalities and the bookings of the film have already been opened as well. The two trailers of Kalki 2898 AD have also set great expectations on the film with amazing visual treat and span. Fans expect the film to open on a great note and the lead actor Prabhas feels that Kalki > Amarendra Baahubali.

It is still not known what character Prabhas plays in Kalki 2898 AD but most of the people believe he would be the Kalki. They feel that his character will be revealed in the climax portion of the film. In a promotional interview, Prabhas said that this was the best character he ever played in his career.

This is surely raising the expectations as he was the one who played Amarendra Baahubali. This was the titular character in the Baahubali series as well. So now Audience feel this is also going to be the same way here. However, we need to see how far the films goes to perform on the level of Baahubali. Till now, Prabhas managed to gross only 600 crores worldwide with his Salaar. Now he has to cross this and gross 800 crores to make Kalki 2898 AD a decent hit.

Kamal Haasan fans have a lot to rejoice in the coming days as he will have several pan-India biggies in the coming months. After Kalki 2898 AD, releasing on 27th June he has his ambitious pan-India action drama Indian 2 lined up for release on 12th July and there are high expectations for this project.

Shankar has decided to take the stakes a notch higher and the team will be going for pan-world promotions with Indian 2. The trailer launch of is due tomorrow in Mumbai. So far, the film has not managed to create a massive impact through its teasers and singles and a lot is riding on the trailer.

While the Tamil version will naturally have a grand event, Lyca Productions and Shankar have planned a massive pre-release event in Telugu as well. Along with this, continuous promotional interviews and events have been planned in all languages. The film will release as Indian 2 in Tamil, Bharateeyudu 2 in Telugu and Hindustani 2 in Hindi.

Shankar, Kamal Haasan, and the team are in plans for promotions in overseas markets as well as there is a huge overseas market for Tamil cinema and Indian cinema. The success of Indian 2 is extremely crucial for the team as the Indian 3 shoot is nearly 80% already completed.

After 7 successful seasons, Bigg Boss Telugu is making a return to the small screens with the Bigg Boss 8 launch date being out. The last was season a big hit and delivered very good TRPs. Nagarjuna will be hosting this season as well and the team is in the process of finalizing the contestants.

Bigg Boss Telugu has successfully completed seven seasons. The inaugural season was hosted by Jr NTR and the second season saw Nani as the host. From the third season onwards Akkineni Nagarjuna with a massive fan following has been the host. Munjya Scores big on third Saturday, inching towards 100 crores

Bollywood’s Supernatural horror film Munjya is going great at the box office and is on its way to achieving something massive. The movie stars Abhay Verma, Sharvari Wagh Mona Singh, and Sathyaraj in key roles and is on its way to hitting the Rs 100 crore mark.

The film is running successfully at the box office and Collected 5.8cr on Saturday at the domestic box office. Total 16 days India Nett now stands at Rs 80 crores.

The film’s narrative unfolds in 1952, revolving around Munjya, a Brahmin boy who falls in love with Munni, a woman significantly older than him. Despite his desire to marry her, his efforts are unsuccessful. Frustrated, he turns to black magic as a last resort, leading to tragic consequences that cost him his life.

The film should comfortably collect Rs 6 crores on Sunday. With no film releasing since it first hit the screens on June 7th, Munjya managed to attract the audience in large numbers. This film’s run might get impacted with Kalki 2898 AD releasing this week on the 27th. The makers of Munjya will now hope for a good run in its final few days and cross the
100 crores mark by the end of week 4.

Kalki 2898 AD, the prestigious film of Vyjayanthi films has become the talk of the town in recent times. The film stars Prabhas in the lead role with Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles. The film also has many cameos of actors and actresses across Indian film industries. However, a recent cameo of one actress in the film has stunned all. That is, Malvika Nair who stunned everyone with her look and role in Kalki 2898 AD.

Malvika Nair who acted in few Telugu films has come on board for the film. She also worked for one of Kalki 2898 AD’s director Nag Ashwin films, Yevade Subrahmanyam. She looked extremely gorgeous and appealing as well in the character. Her character is also said to be Uttara, the wife of Arjuna’s son Abhimanyu. Her presence in the film was not revealed earlier but she made an appearance in the second trailer of the film. She was also seen getting attacked from a force in the trailer.

Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life: A Diwali release

Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s film Thug Life was announced to fans excitement. A glimpse video was released where Kamal Haasan was seen bashing some guys as well. The film also stars Simbu and Trisha in pivotal roles. Director Mani Ratnam is acting very fast in shooting the film. The film is also said to be in the final stage of shoot. Thug Life is also eyeing the Diwali season for its release.

The shooting is expected to complete by July or August this year. Director Mani Ratnam is very much focussed on the schedule and wants to finish this as early as possible. He did the same for his previous film, Ponniyin Selvan. Suriya’s Kanguva and Ajith’s Vidaa Muyarchi are also said to be planning for Diwali release.

Kalki 2898 AD: Book My Show crashed

Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas is the awaited film in Tollywood this year. The film also stars Legendary Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan in pivotal roles as well. The film is all set for release on June 27th this weekend. Now, the bookings of the film have opened as well on various online ticket platforms. Kalki 2898 AD has crashed Book My Show with its tickets booking fever.

The film’s bookings have opened in Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu on Sunday evening. It opened to a record level as well. Book My Show’s server has crashed with these extraordinary bookings. The bookings have guaranteed an all time record for advance bookings in Nizam area. The opening day may also create a Non-Rajamouli record. If all goes well we may see the film touching 200 crores gross worldwide on the opening day itself.

Only Baahubali 2 and RRR which were directed by Rajamouli achieved this record. Telugu version bookings of Kalki 2898 AD are phenomenal. Kalki 2898 AD must also create the same performance in other languages as well. The film will have to touch the 800 crore gross mark worldwide for it become a hit. Let’s wait and see what happens.

People’s media factory party for Alliance victory in AP

Tollywood has become very much concentrated about politics in the recent times. We saw many producers, directors, and even actors talking about politics and political leaders belonging to AP. However, this doesn’t apply to Telangana politicial leaders for reasons that only God knows. People’s Media Factory, a production house belonging to the brother of a political leader of AP has offered a party for the alliance victory in AP today.

This has never happened in any film Industry before. A production house personally offering a party for a political leader and parties’ success in a state is definitely new and weird as well. Ironically, a change in the government happened in Telangana where Tollywood now is located at. But no such party or a celebration was offered by anyone. But a change in the government in AP has triggered a response from the same celebrities to an extent where they show it as their personal achievement.

People’s media factory has also made Bro starring Pawan Kalyan who now acts as the Deputy Chief Minister of AP. We have to see how far this goes in the coming days. We may even see producers and other celebrities aggressively joining or supporting political parties in the future which is already happening now. Only time will answer and let’s wait for it.

Tollywood Actor, Pawan Kalyan is not just an actor but also the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He successfully managed to end his political debacle, winning 21 seats in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections held recently. Now he seems to support his professional Industry, Tollywood.

The Actor happens to be one of the top heroes of Tollywood. So producers and some directors are very happy for his success. The news is a delegation of producers would be coming to AP to congratulate the actor on his political success and also discuess various issues regarding Tollywood. Aswini Dutt, Dil Raju, Haarika and Haassine Creations Chinna Babu, Mythri Movie Makers management, Sithara Entertainments, Peoples Media Factory and few others will meet the Actor cum politician.

The delegation would surely raise the issue of ticket prices. They would definitely want a hike in the ticket prices. The Actor will take no time in implementing this as well. We may see the same ticket prices that exist in Telangana in AP in the coming days. However, it needs to be seen if the producers would show any interest in establishing Film Studios in AP which didn’t happen in recent years. It would be very good if that happens.
