Karna vs Arjuna war because of Kalki 2898 AD

We see fan wars happening for actors on social media platforms. But interestingly, a fan war has been ignited between two Mythological characters, Karna and Arjuna thanks to Kalki 2898 AD which released today. The film is a modern adaptation of Hindu Epic, Mahabharatha. Vijay Deverakonda even played the role of Arjuna in the film as a cameo.

Karna happens to be a great warrior but chose to remain on the side of Kauravas due to his respect for Duryodhana. On the other hand, Arjuna was also a great warrior from the clan of Pandavas guided by Lord Krishna. The film released today drew comparisons between the two epic roles. Some started talking about the greatness of Karna and some took the side of Arjuna. They feel Karna died only due to bad luck and the curses he had on himself.

Others felt that Arjuna had the power of important ashtras. This is definitely an interesting thing to see on the social media. Karna actually happens to be the brother of Arjuna as well. But fate made him take part of a war against his own brothers. But it remains to be a fact that they two remain the most powerful characters in Mahabharatha.

Media Barron and ETV Chairman, Ramoji Rao passed away recently. Newly formed Andhra Pradesh Government has organised a commemoration programme for the departed media head today at Vijayawada. Many celebrities and diginitaries attended the event. Tollywood Director, SS Rajamouli was one among them. The Director while speaking has requested both the State and Central governments in this event to fulfill his wish.

Rajamouli held a personal relation with Ramoji Rao as he worked in few ETV serials at his career’s beginning. He also had to shoot Baahubali in the famous Ramoji Film City at Hyderabad as well. With this rapport, Rajamouli has requested both State and Central Governments to consider the proposal of Ramoji Rao’s name for the prestigious Bharat Ratna Award.

Till now, only one Telugu person has been awarded with this. PV Narasimha Rao, the former PM was awarded with Bharat Ratna recently. So, this came as a surprise as no media head was proposed for the Award till now. Telugu Matinee Idol NTR who was the founder of TDP still didn’t get this honour. So, we have to see what happens in the future. Tollywood Actor, Pawan Kalyan too attended the event as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Kamal Haasan’s one more role in Indian 2

Kamal Haasan originally played two roles in Indian/Bharateeyudu film. He played both father and son roles in the film. The Old-aged father character, Senapathy kills the son in the climax of the film as we all know. But it feels Shankar has planned a surprise with one more role of Kamal Haasan in Indian 2, the sequel of Indian.

In a promotional interview, Kamal Haasan has revealed an exclusive update that he had also played the father character of Senapathy in the sequel. This is truly a sensational news as he will be playing three generations of a family in the film series. We need to see how this father of Senapathy is shown. We don’t know to what extent this character would appear in the film as well.

On the other hand, Indian 2 trailer has already been released and drew a mixed response from the audiences. Many people feel that the film was not upto the expectations and even trolled Kamal Haasan’s portrayal in the film. They even felt Shankar had not worked properly for the film. The film is all set to release on July 12th worldwide. Indian 3, the third part of the film was already announced.

Tamil Actors Rajinikanth and Suriya are all set to battle at the Box-Office. Suriya’s upcoming film, Kanguva made on a high scale will release on 10th October as announced by the makers today. On the other hand, Rajinikanth’s film, Vettaiyan too was announced already as an October release.

Suriya is betting big on Kanguva and the inside talk about the film is also great. The team of Vettaiyan may also think about postponing the film as Diwali release. But Diwali already has Ajith’s Vidaa Muyarchi in the slot. Ajith is also one of the biggest stars of Tamil Nadu. So that will also be a big risk. It needs to be seen if the team of Vettaiyan sticks to their original planned period or postpone their film to a new date.

Kanguva’s teaser showcased the grandeur of the film on a high level. The budget and the theme of the film looked stunning. Shankar gives clarity on Game Changer release date

Maverick Director, Shankar is currently busy with his Indian 2 which is slated for release July 12th worldwide. The film’s trailer already released and met with a mixed response from the audiences. Shankar is also busy working on his Telugu Debut, Game Changer starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani. Now, Shankar has given clarity on Game Changer’s release date.

Game Changer has been under shoot stage for many days. The film was originally expected to complete its shoot by now but there is much more shoot left. Shankar becoming busy with Indian 2 also became a reason for this. Now, Shankar said that the shooting would be completed soon. He also said he would take the final call about the film’s release date after watching the output. The Director said they would announce the release date after these formalities get finished.

This is surely a disappointing news for the fans and audiences who expected a release date assurance from Shankar. It was also believed that the film may arrive in December month as Christmas release. But it looks the film may not release in this time frame as well. Game Changer then has to wait till the March of 2025 as a summer release.

All these three films had flaws and positive aspects such that everyone would feel like watching an average film. Kalki 2898 AD is off to a flying start at the box office. The positive reviews and word of mouth helped the film in a big way, especially in other languages. In Telugu states, A centers were terrific; other stations are decent to good. The film was affected a bit by hike ticket pricing and midweek release, but still, it was very good opening there also.

In Nizam the film is expected to open with more than 32 Cr gross , in Andhra Pradesh it is expected to be in the range of 35 Cr gross. Overall, in Telugu states, More than 67 Cr gross is expected, and it can go close to 70 Cr too. Karnataka is expected to be in the range of 11 Cr–12 Cr. Tamil Nadu in the range of 5 crore, Kerala in the range of 2.75 crore, and in North India a gross of 25 crore is expected.

Overall, in India, the movie will have an opening closer to 115 crores; overseas, a 7 million+ opening is expected. Overall, around 175 crore gross is expected on opening day. All-time top 3 opening in Indian cinema. It is the Non – Rajamouli biggest opening in Indian cinema.

The advance bookings for weekend looks solid, The film needs to take a big jump from tomorrow evening shows to post huge numbers for weekend. Prabhas proves again he is the biggest Indian star with this opening.

One of the major reasons for Kalki 2898 AD hype amongst the audience is its plot which is a mix of mythology with science fiction. Nag Ashwin has managed to create a great narrative and connection between the two time periods and the Mahabharata episode in particular received massive applause and love from the fans.

Various characters such as Ashwatthama, Arjuna, Karna and Sri Krishna were a part of the film and while the other characters were clearly shown in the movie, Sri Krishna’s role remains a suspense which will be unveiled in part- 2.

Sri Krishna was shown as a silhouette figure in Kalki 2898 AD and there are heavy expectations on this character in the sequel. Nag Ashwin portrayed Sri Krishna excitingly and uniquely by not revealing the face. Actor Krishna Kumar, who earlier played Suriya’s friend and pilot in Aakasame Nee Haddura has played this character in Kalki where his face was not shown but just his body was visible. As Kalki is a multi-part film there will be more references to Mahabharata.

Tollywood Director, SS Rajamouli has achieved one more recognition. He was officially invited as a member for the reputed Oscar Awards voting panel. His wife, Rama Rajamouli too was invited for the panel. Alongwith him few more celebrities like Ritesh Sidhwani, Choreographer Prem Rakshith, DOP Ravi Varman and actress Shabana Azmi were among the people invited.

Rajamouli expressed his happiness on his X/Twitter account. The Director tweeted that RRR gave many people the recognition of a lifetime. He thanked the Oscars Awademy for the honour as well. Rajamouli achieved a worldwide recognition with his previous outing, RRR which fetched his brother M.M.Keeravaani and lyricist Chandrose the Oscar Award for the song, Naatu Naatu. He also received Golden Globe Award.

On the other hand, Rajamouli is currently busy working on his film with Tollywood Actor, Mahesh Babu. The film touted to be a globe-trotting adventure features Mahesh Babu in the lead role. Kalki 2898 AD is creating a box-office storm worldwide with positive word of mouth and great reception amongst the audience.
