The Film Industry is the most volatile industry that exists. One Friday can make or break the fortunes of actors, directors, producers, and so on. Therefore, hits and flops are very common for actors and it usually gets overcomes with the next movie.
But there are some movies that become industry disasters. Perhaps Nagarjuna’s Officer is a prime example of that. It is the biggest disaster in his career and the film hardly even collected any shares. At that point, no one wanted to take Ram Gopal Varma seriously and the film was a complete loss venture.
Now, the same thing is happening with Naga Chaitanya’s Thank You movie. If the calculation is done purely on the basis of shares, there are hardly any collections in shares for the movie. The film is expected to have deficits for the 1st week, which is a horror for all parties involved.
In fact, a few theatres are already running in deficits on the 1st weekend itself. this was the same case with Nagarjuna’s Officer, which ran on deficits from the 1st week and crashed at the box office. After Thank You’s disastrous run, Naga Chaitanya will need to deliver a huge blockbuster to come out of the result of this movie.
Naga Chaitanya needs the magic of something like a Love Story to bring him back up the ladder once again.
