No theatres for Ajith’s Thunivu in Telugu States

Ajith’s latest film Thunivu rights have been bought for 3 Crores in Telugu states and the buyers struggling hard to pull the required theaters as there is a massive competition for theaters between the Sankranthi releases.

Though the film will get released in Telugu States, it may have very less of screens at the release time and the Word of mouth is crucial for the movie as at least they can pick up the theaters after festival week in that case.

We know that Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy and Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu are releasing for Sankranthi 2023.

There’s a controversy running around the theaters’ allocation of Varisu/Varasudu in the Telugu states as the film’s producer Dil Raju is renowned Distributor in Telangana.

Dil Raju is making sure that sizeable chunk of screens are allotted to his film, though there’s a lot of time for the release of the films and we will have to wait and see who will have the final edge on the theaters.

As if the competition between the three films was not enough, now Thunivu is also being dubbed into Telugu as Thegimpu (rumored title).

Though Ajith Kumar is well known in Telugu States too, he never cared to strengthen the market here and hence his films have done little noise here.
