Nithya Menon is a notable actress for the audiences of Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. Known for her versatility in roles and acting prowess, she played a tonne of memorable roles in a career spanning over fifteen years. However, in the past five years, the bubbly actor has distanced herself from mainstream commercial films to focus on content-oriented projects and web shows such as Breathe: Into the Shadows and Modern Love Hyderabad.
Moving in the same direction, she has signed to play the female lead in ‘Raayan’, a Tamil film starring Dhanush; this marks his 50th feature film appearance, which is written and directed by Dhanush himself. An action thriller film, it is produced by Sun Pictures, while A. R. Rahman will compose the film’s background score and songs.
This will be the second time Menon will share the screen with Dhanush after the blockbuster success of Thiruchitrambalam (2022). In addition to this, she is roped in for a female-oriented subject in Tamil; this untitled project will be helmed by debutante Kamini and produced jointly by Bask Time Theatres and POPter Media.
