Mythri Movie Makers had announced earlier that Pushpa 2, directed by Sukumar will be released for Independence Day weekend with 15th August marked as the release date. Netflix, which is the streaming partner for the film has made an important announcement regarding the film. Netflix India South has announced that the film will stream in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi as a post-theatrical release.
Pushpa: The Rule will follow the continuation of the rivalry between Pushparaj and SP Bhanwar Singh (Fahadh Faasil). This film will also be set against an international backdrop. The film will also star Rashmika as Srivalli with Anasuya Bharadwaj, Sunil, Rao Ramesh, and Jagadeesh returning to their original roles, while Jagapathi Babu will be joining as the new cast member.
