It’s raining Sankranthi releases on OTTs. After Venkatesh’s Saindhav, Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram is also making its way to its digital premiere. Netflix India has made an official announcement that the action entertainer will be released on 9th February.
Starring Mahesh Babu and Sreeleela in lead roles, Trivikram’s Guntur Kaaeam was released from Sankranthi amidst below-par word of mouth and unfavourable reviews. Despite this, Guntur Kaaram managed to post good numbers at the box office and made a recovery of 90% worldwide. The film settled for an above-average status at the box office.
The film’s digital streaming rights were bought by Netflix for a record price in Mahesh Babu’s career. According to the streaming deal, the film was scheduled to stream 4 weeks after the theatrical release. The Netflix team announced the streaming just on the brink on 4 weeks.
Guntur Kaaram will stream on Netflix worldwide from 9th February. Audiences can catch the movie in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. After Salaar and Animal, Guntur Kaaram is the third major release on the streaming giant within the last month.
