Neru emerged as the Christmas winner, crossed the 50Cr mark, and surpassed expectations with its terrific box office performance. The film has been performing exceptionally well. Salaar from Tollywood, Dunki from Bollywood, and Neru from Mollywood were released during Christmas weekend. The numbers of Prabhas’s Salaar and Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki are much more significant as Salaar has 450Cr+ Gross and Dunki has 300Cr+ Gross worldwide

But both the films, Salaar and Dunki, are performing under expectations. On the other side, Neru is performing above expectations. The court drama is minting huge numbers at the box office and has crossed the 50Cr Gross mark worldwide.

Neru’s Kerala Gross has crossed the 25Cr mark, and Overseas Gross crossed $2.5M. The movie holds firmly and will have a massive weekend with the New Year. In Kerala, Dunki was outrightly rejected on the opening day, and Salaar opened on a good note, but it dropped in the following days, and Neru emerged as the box office winner

The movie is a super comeback film for Mohan Lal, and the film’s remake is being planned with Venkatesh in Telugu.

Neru also stars Santhi, Jagadish, Ganesh Kumar, Nandu, Aditi Ravi, and Harikrishnan. Jeethu, who was last associated with Kooman, is working with cinematographer Satheesh Kurup, music director Vishnu Shyam, and editor VS Vinayak again.

Antony Perumbavoor produces the film under his Aashirvaad Cinemas banner. Mohanlal and Jeethu have collaborated on Drishyam, Drishyam 2, 12th Man, and Ram: Part 1, which has yet to be released.
