Nani shares his disappointment reasons about the National Awards. It is widely known that Natural Star Nani expressed disappointment when Jai Bhim didn’t win an award at the National Awards 2023. Nani posted a broken heart emoji to show his dissatisfaction on his Instagram account. Nani congratulated the RRR, Pushpa, and Uppena teams on their success at the prestigious awards.
It was reported by some media portals that Nani is anxious about Kollywood and dissatisfied with Tollywood’s victory. Nani took part in the India Today Telangana Roundtable yesterday. Nani shared his disappointment regarding the National Awards and said he is happy with what Telugu Cinema achieved at the 69th National Awards.
During this event, Nani clarified what he meant about the awards. Nani said, “My words were taken out of context. I am very much happy about the achievements of Telugu cinema. I am very happy for my brother Allu Arjun, who became the first Telugu actor to win the Best Actor award.”
Nani continued, “I liked Jai Bhim pretty much, and it is one of the best films made. Jai Bhim deserved a win, at least in one category. Let’s assume my sister achieved something and my cousin from next door didn’t. I will express my happiness for my sister, and at the same time, I will also feel sad for my cousin. Media articles say Nani is unhappy about Tollywood winning the National Awards. When did I say that? Had Jai Bhim won an award, it would have encouraged filmmakers to attempt more such movies.”
