Netflix’s blockbuster web series Squid Games Season 2 will soon arrive on small screens. The streaming giant has made an official announcement regarding this. The first season was released in 2021, became a major success, and trended on Top of Netflix worldwide for several weeks. The show’s unique concept and thrilling screenplay made the show one of the most trending shows of all time.
Netflix has released a teaser and announced that Squid Games Season 2 will be released on December 26th while the third and final season will release in 2025. Korean star Lee Jung-jae, who played Song Gi-hun aka player no 456, and Lee Byung-hun, who essayed the mysterious character of The Frontman, will reprise their roles.
Squid Games was a major success at the Golden Globes and Primetime Emmy Awards and became the first South Korean show to make waves on the International television awards stage. The first season received 14 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, including for Outstanding Drama Series, making it the first non-English-language work to be nominated in this category;
