Megastar Chiranjeevi has been an absolute fan favourite and ruling the box office for several decades now. It was Chiranjeevi who set the benchmark for movies celebrations and massive release day activities. The Mass euphoria and massive 50 days, 100 days and 150 days celebrations that Chiru movies used to have were unparalleled. But now, it looks like times have changed in this aspect.
Even Megastar is in need of Pawan Kalyan fans to celebrate the movies. Waltair Veerayya is the career biggest blockbuster for Chiru and hardly there are any 50 days celebrations and not even a single center/ show was worth full. If we take the example of current top stars like Pk, Mahesh, and NTR, their fans celebrate the 50 days in a larger way across centers.
Even for the recent Gangleader re-release, there were no celebrations as well as audiences in theatres. Chiranjeevi’s previous re-release was the cult blockbuster Gharana Mogudu, which also failed at its re-release. It now looks like the Megastar is also dependent on PK fans for celebrations
