Tier 2 Directors are those who do medium budget movies with tier 2 heroes and rarely with star heroes. There are over a dozen tier 2 directors who have decent potential in Telugu Film Industry.
However, they are taking too much of time in getting a movie done. They are waiting for years for a nod from the star heroes. This attitude makes them sit idle without any work for years together. The reason for this could be possibly because of their ego or illusion of their stardom.
Their indecisiveness is making them not accept movies with tier 2 heroes. Just after delivering a super hit, their eyes are only looking for Star Heroes. Director like Buchi Babu who delivered good movie called Uppena has been waiting for NTR Or Charan’s approval.
However, the star heroes are only looking for big and experienced directors even though they don’t belong to Tollywood like Shankar or Prashant Neel Or Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Similar attitude is shown by Harish Shankar, Gowtham Tinnanuri, latest blockbuster Bimbisara director Vashista, Parasuram etc.
Without waiting for so long, they can make movies with medium range heroes and give good content. This will give good content for theaters as well.
Senior directors like Dasari Narayana Rao, Raghavendra Rao or even Puri and Rajamouli used to do with tier2 heroes. They scored big hits with them, which is good for industry.
These young and and medium range directors should take a lesson from the senior craftsman and make movies without big budge and Star Heroes. They can make simple love Stories or entertainers which will bring success and fame to them.
