Mass masala commercial directors should wake up at least now

There are many mass commercial directors in the Telugu film industry like Boyapati Srinu, Vamshi Paidipally, Anil Ravipudi, Gopichand Malineni, Bobby, and Harish Shankar among others. Interestingly, most of their films across their filmographies are commercial hits with very few flops among all. Still, these directors are not the no.1 choice for stars and producers and they are getting very few offers from top heroes

On the other side directors like Sukumar, Trivikram, Sandeep Vanga, Nag Ashwin, and Koratala Siva are among the few directors, who need not worry about their demand. These all directors have a unique filmmaking style that blends commercial aspects well with storytelling. This is why they are always getting big offers irrespective of the result.

Koratala Siva’s demand didn’t fall down after the disaster of Acharya, Similarly, Sukumar with 1 and Trivikram with Agnyaathavaasi didn’t face any slump at all. This is because they have proven their versatility and have shown that they don’t just depend on commercial formula and hero’s stardom.

It’s about time other mass commercial directors take a leaf out of Trivikram, Sukumar, Sandeep Vanga, Nag Ashwin, and Koratala and blend good narrative skills instead of going for cliched concepts and banking on just hero’s stardom to make their movies successful.
