Vamshi Paidipally has been in the industry for more than 2 decades now. After working as an assistant director for a few big projects, he got his first break with Prabhas starter, Munna. While Munna wasn’t a massive hit, Vamshi’s narration and ability to capture mass moments and heroism were surely noticed.
After Munna, he directed hugely successful films like Brindavanam, Yevadu, Oopiri, Maharshi, and Varisu. Interestingly, all these films were quite unique from each other. They showcased Vamshi’s ability to handle family entertainers as well as big-ticket commercial projects.
Despite having a great success ratio and some remarkable films to his credit, Vamshi Paidipally is still not counted in the A-lister directors category. He is not getting any offers from Telugu stars and despite him being interested to do a film with star heroes, stars are not so keen to work with him for now.
This is seen as one of the main reasons for his entry into Kollywood. Almost all the tier 1 heroes of Tollywood are packed with commitments for the next few years. And with everyone keen on pan-India films, Vamshi Paidipally needs to reinvent himself and come out with something interesting with Tier 2 heroes now.
