Vishal’s Mark Antony was released yesterday to mostly positive reviews and great applause for Vishal and SJ Suryah’s performance in particular. The film opened with huge numbers in Tamil and had a decent opening in Telugu states.
In Tamil Nadu, it opened with Rs 8Cr gross which is the highest opening for Vishal. With this opening, the film needs to hold well for the next few days and it will surely give big collections in closing as it is the sole option for moviegoers for the next 2 weeks.
In Kerala and Karnataka as well, the movie opened very well. The Telugu states performance was decent with Rs1.5Cr gross collected. However, the positive word of mouth, the movie is is expected to to get bigger by each day. With three big days up next including a Vinayaka Chaviti holiday on Monday, the film is poised to put up better numbers in coming days. Overall the film’s opening day is more than 12Cr gross worldwide and is heading towards a huge blockbuster for Vishal.
