Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming projects lineup has created massive intrigue amongst movie lovers. His next film Leo starring Vijay has already shattered several pre-release business records and with Karthi starrer Kaithi 2 also set to release as a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe, everyone is excited to see how these iconic characters will cross paths.
Kaithi 2 has been one of the most anticipated films of LCU. But, it looks like the project will be delayed further. Karthi and producers had earlier announced that after Leo, they were planning to go ahead with Kaithi 2 on a massive budget. But, as per reports, Lokesh Kanaraj has signed his next with Rajinikanth, and Kaithi 2 will start after what is billed as Thalaivar 171.
Apart from this, Lokesh is said to be doing a film on the Rolex character from Vikram with Suriya. With these new projects in the pipeline, the Karthi starter franchise might take some more time than expected.
When asked about Thalaivar 171, Lokesh evaded the question saying, “Production side should say. I can’t say anything, right? Let it come from the production side.” It has to be noted that Lokesh didn’t deny the speculation.
