Details of the Complaint
In her complaint, Lavanya Tripathi stated that certain individuals have been posting abusive comments and making offensive remarks about her and her family members on social media platforms.
She specifically identified an Instagram account named “Purple Crayon00” as the source of several objectionable and defamatory posts.
Police Register Case
Following the complaint, the Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police registered a case under Section 67 of the IT Act along with Sections 78 and 79 of the BNS. Authorities have begun an investigation to trace the individuals responsible for the posts.

Online harassment targeting film celebrities has been increasing in recent times. Several actresses in the Telugu film industry have faced similar issues on social media.
Popular stars such as Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Rashmika Mandanna, and Sreeleela were recently targeted through the misuse of AI-generated or manipulated images. All three actresses filed complaints against those responsible.
