Nayanthara is busy promoting her new release ‘Connect’. The horror thriller has been appreciated for its spooky moments and clever screenplay and Nayanthara has achieved good acclaim for her role in the film.
During the promotion of the film, the star actress, hit back at young actress Malavika Mohananan and this spat between the two has gone viral. Malavika, during one of her interviews, had indirectly taunted Nayanthara for her appearance in a particular scene from one of her previous movies.
“I have seen like this really big superstar actress. She is in one hospital scene and she is almost dying… and she is in full makeup! With full eyeliner, hair done… with not even one hair out of place. And I am like how can a person be dying with your lipstick in place even if it’s a commercial movie (where) you have to look a little pretty, you have to be a little realistic, right? That’s like logic gone right outside the window.,” said Malavika hinting at Nayanthara.
Nayan was quick to respond to this and asked her junior to learn the difference between commercial cinema and art house realistic films.
“There’s this interview I saw of another heroine. She didn’t take my name but hinted at me. She said that she saw a hospital scene where I was prim and proper with even my hairdo intact. She questioned how can someone be like that in a hospital scene. I am not saying one should be prim and proper in a hospital scene, but that doesn’t mean one should be with tousled and unkempt hair. There will be people to take care of you and they obviously tie up your hair,” said Nayan.
“Also, there’s a huge difference when you are doing a realistic film and when you are doing a commercial film,” she added.
