No other director in recent times had a dreamy start like Koratala Siva who gave back-to-back massive hits like Mirchi, Srimanthudu, Janatha Garage, and Bharat Ane Nenu. These four hits with tier-1 heroes put him in great demand and among the top directors in Tollywood. However, with Acharya, Koratala’s bad time started. Firstly, the movie was on sets for a longer than expected time and when it was released, it ended up being an absolute disaster.
It was a big setback film for him career-wise and even financially as he took the responsibility of production due to unforeseen events that happened in shooting. After the release, Chiranjeevi directly blamed Koratala Siva on several occasions for the failure. After this, a film with Allu Arjun was canceled.
Finally, NTR came on board for Devara and it was all looking fine for Koratala Siva but now a story copy case of Srimanthudu has given a setback for him. The court ordered to take criminal action on Koratala Siva and the judgment favoured writer Sarath Chandra who filed the case. Now only way for Koratala Siva is to settle the issue with the writer to get out of this criminal case. But writer Sarath Chandra is said to be demanding a public apology which has puts Koratala Siva in dilemma.
