Karthi said that he is not a nepo kid because nepo kid means someone whose father earns a lot of money, fame, and MD chair waiting for the son. “Right from childhood everyone said the same to me saying your father has got a lot of fame and money so it will be easy for you.” But my father never encouraged us to come to the industry.
I liked creative jobs so I wanted to be in the direction field and producer Gnanavel Raja supported me in this and said he would provide every help that his father would have. Karthi added that he and Suriya struggled a lot in the beginning for film releases and this is why they are not nepo kids.
Netizen are mocking these comments by questioning how a common man could get access to work under Mani Ratanm as an AD at his peak time. They are also questioning if Gnanavel Raja would have supported other common people .
People are questioning the logic of Karthi’s statements. He should have father’s influence helped him and Suriya in getting entry and initial chances in the industry and beyond that it was the two brother’s hard work and talent that made them big stars. Saying they didn’t use their father’s fame is wrong.
