Karthikeya 2’s dream run in theatres is proving to be truly magical. A film made on a meager budget of 20-30 crores has created a Hungama at the box office and shattered many records along the way. After a decent opening day, the film has only been collecting more and more money at the box office.

Even after 2 weeks, the film is super steady at the box office. It has already crossed 70 crores gross including the Hindi version and is marching swiftly towards the 100 crore mark. It is already Nikhil’s highest by a huge margin but if it reaches 100 crores, it will be the highest ever for a non-tier 2 hero.

The film has performed exceptionally well in the two Telugu states as well as in the North belt. In addition to that, it has crossed the $1M+ mark in the USA, the highest ever for a non-tier 2 hero. These are truly impressive numbers for a relatively low-key actor like Nikhil. He has always been experimenting with his films and it is great to see his success bear fruit in the form of an enormous blockbuster.

Karthikeya 2 is also backed by stellar performances from Anupama Parameswaran, Srinivas Reddy, and Harsha. Anupam Kher’s divine performance cannot be disregarded for the success of the Hindi version of the film also. Chandoo Mondeti is the director of the film and Abishek Agarwal Arts produced the movie. Kaala Bhairavaa is the music director.
