The film is gearing up for Sankranthi/Pongal 2024 release and it is a sequel to a pan India blockbuster Indian, so this is expected to be one of the most awaited movies in pan India level. Reportedly, Kamal Haasan has appreciated the director of the movie, Shankar, and team after watching the final output.
Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies, which distributed Kamal Haasan’s previous release, Vikram, teamed up with the actor for Indian 2. While the film was to be produced by Lyca Productions, Red Giant Movies came after the shooting was restarted, and they are the co-producers along with being distributors across the Tamil Nadu State.
Other than Kamal Haasan, the film also has Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, and Priya Bhavani Shankar in other pivotal roles. Anirudh Ravichander, who composed the brilliant soundtrack for Kamal Haasan’s last release Vikram is composing music for Indian 2 as well.
