There was a huge buzz on the Jawan Extended OTT Version. It finally arrived on Netflix, The movie is now streaming in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. Bollywood movies made a deal to stream on OTT only after 8 weeks, and Netflix waited a few more days to release on Shahrukh Khan’s birthday.
Atlee has said that we have removed many good scenes in the film due to runtime issues. The scenes will be added in the OTT version. The fans and audience are excited about these removed scenes in theatres. Everyone expected the OTT version will have more than 3 hours of runtime.
The final copy of the film before going to the censor comes to around 190 minutes. The audience thought the final copy would stream in OTT but Jawan Extended OTT Version runtime is just 170 minutes. Nayanthara also feels that many of her scenes are trimmed at the last minute and Shahrukh Khan confirms that. so the audience expected all those scenes will be added. There is no much difference between theatrical runtime and OTT runtime which disappointed the audience.
The Jawan OTT Platform Netflix also announced an extended version is streaming but very few scenes are said to be added. The audience is expected around 15-20 minutes of runtime to be added in the OTT version.
