Shah Rukh Khan’s new release Jawan has now set a new record for national cinema chains PVR INOX with its box office numbers. The film collected a milestone number of 200Cr at the renowned multiplex screens in India. It is the second film to achieve this feat after KGF 2.
In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Kamal Gianchandani, an official representative of PVR multiplex wrote “Today #Jawan will celebrate its 200 cr NBOC at #PVRINOX chain (combined). In our long history, it’s only the second film to do so , #KGFChapter2 being the first one 🎬 @_GauravVerma @_PVRCinemas @INOXMovies @RedChilliesEnt”
Jawan has been breaking records since its very first day on screens and is now all set to become the biggest grosser in Bollywood. The film’s numbers simply superb, and trade analysts are prepared to be completely overwhelmed by the run of the film.
Jawan, made as an action entertainer, is written and directed by Atlee. Shah Rukh Khan plays the dual role of Vikram Rathore and his son Azad in this story, which highlights social and political issues along with entertainment. Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi played the major roles in the film. In special cameo roles, Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt are also present.
Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, and Mukesh Chhabra have also appeared in other hey roles in the film. The first time Shah Rukh and Atlee collaborated was with Jawan.
