Actor Nani released the trailer of period social drama Ardhashathabdam earlier today. The movie directed by Rawindra Pulle follows the story of a village caught in caste wars and its impact on a young couple in love.
The movie stars an impressive cast of Karthik Rathnam, Navin Chandra, Sai Kumar, Krishna Priya, Subhaleka Sudhakara among others in key roles.
The film is produced by Chitti Kiran Ramoju, Telu Radha Krishna under Rishitha Sree Creations, 24 Frames Celluloid banner.
Ardhashathabdam features a bunch of characters with interesting backdrop and motivations. A young couple in love, a feudal landlord, an oppressed class, a young police officer, and a naxalite group all form the crux of the movie and feature prominently in the film.
The caption ‘The Democratic Violence’ signifies the fight for rights of the oppressed and it will be interesting to see how it pans out. The movie will release on OTT platform Aha on June 11th.
