Victory Venkatesh and his nephew Rana Daggubati worked together for Rana Naidu, a web series that is now streaming on Netflix. Ever since it released the adult content in it became the talk of town with fans of Venkatesh and a section of family audience also criticized him for doing Rana Naidu. Hero Rana has responded to the criticism on the Web Series.
While some netizens could not accept the lewd scenes and filthy language in Rana Naidu, many others were okay with it, as such content in OTT is mostly acceptable for them. Rana quoted and agreed with the netizens who came supporting the series.
Coming to Rana Naidu, apart from the cuss words, sexual content, the web series is one of the regular outings in the OTT land. Crime elements mixed with family sentiment and political/ film world links, everything gives a feeling that we have already watched it. Venkatesh and Rana deliver decent performances, which makes the show somewhat alright. Also, the length of the Web Series is also a problem. It could have been completed in 5 episodes, but they dragged it out for 10 episodes.
Other departments, like background score and the production values, are up to the mark in this crime/ family drama along with the commendable performances of Venkatesh and Rana. Rana Naidu is directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma.
