Here’s how you can watch Director’s cut of Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai Part 1 On OTT

The Star Director Vetrimaaran marked a new Super Hit in his career with his recently released film Viduthalai Part 1. Made as a period crime thriller, the film has Soori in the lead role. Viduthalai Part 1 is now streaming on OTT on Zee5 Platform. The film was released in theaters on March 31st.

Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi played a key role in the movie, and he will have more importance in the second part movie, which will be released this year September. Produced by Elred Kumar under the banners of RS Infotainment and Grass Root Film Company, Maestro Ilaiyaraaja composed the tunes for this period crime thriller.

Set in a place called Muthuvel, The movie tells us the story of Kumaresan (Soori), who is a new joiner at a police camp set in a village surrounded by thick forests near the Tamil Nadu – Karnataka border. Kumaresan learns the ways of the constables as well as about the Makkal Padai movement headed by Perumal aka Vaathiyaar (Vijay Sethupathi, who is hunted by the police. How is Papa aka Tamilarasi (Bhavani Sre) related to this story? Did the police catch Perumal or not? Answers to these questions form the rest of the story.

Bhavani Sre played the female lead in the movie while Gautam Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, and Ilavarasu played other important roles. It is still unclear whether the OTT premiere will also have Viduthalai’s Telugu version, Vidudhala or not.
