Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, Teja Sajja and Prashanth Varma’s Hanuman, Venkatesh’s Saindhav, and Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga were in the race to Sankranthi supremacy. Apart from these, Kollywood films Sivakarthikeyan’s Aayalan and Dhanush’s Captain Miller were some other big for the festive season.

Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga was released today while Venkatesh’s Saindhav was released yesterday. Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram and Teja Sajja’s Hanuman were released on 12th January. With all the films out in front of the audience now and the word of mouth and reviews also out, it is an out-and-out victory for Hanuman in this Sankranthi race.

Hanuman showcased its rocking performance right from premiers and with positive word of mouth, it has done wonders in Telugu as well as Hindi. The other films had below-par public talk compared to Hanuman which made this Prashanth Varma’s film soar even higher.

Hanuman opened with super positive talk and reviews while Guntur Kaaram opened with bad reviews and word of mouth. Saindhav also faced the same fate while Naa Saami Ranga opened with decent one-time watchable talk and decent reviews. Content-wise it was Hanuman has unanimously won the audience’s hearts and box office-wise, it’s the obvious winner.

Saindhav is not doing great and will end up as a box-office failure mostly. Guntur Kaaram is having a decent hold while Naa Saami Ranga opened well and will likely post good numbers till festival days just like Guntur Kaaram

Hanuman, on the other hand, will do well at the box-office even after the festival and will have a long box-office run making it a blockbuster.
